A Pro Rooter Guy´s technician was able to come out same day and fix the emergency clogged drain situation in my kitchen sink. He was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable, also explained everything he was doing and made sure that I understood what had caused the problem. He then went ahead and tackle the job with skill and care providing me with a good solution to my problem. I'm amazed at how quick he was able to take care of this issue--he wasted no time whatsoever. AFTER the job was complete, there was no mess left behind in my home, which left me very satisfied! I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs an emergency clogged drain service or any other plumbing service in need of immediate attention!

I recently had a septic tank problem, but I could reach a tech from Pro Rooter Guys who came out and inspected the issue. He was very professional and very helpful in explaining what the issue was. He explained why it happened and made recommendations on how to fix it. I'm waiting on approval from my regular plumber to schedule the septic tank repair but if this is any indication of how business is conducted with Pro Rooter Guys then I will definitely recommend them for any future work.

My experience with this company was very positive. I used their drain cleaning services and found them to be extremely affordable, extremely reliable and very easy to deal with. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a great drain cleaning service! The technicians were on time and got right to work after listening to my issue. They were polite, helpful and knowledgeable about all of the different products they use and they even took the time to explain everything in detail before they began work on my drain so that I could understand what they were doing. The process was quick and easy!

Pro Rooter Guys pumped my septic and did a great job. They showed up on time, and worked hard to get the job done quickly. They did not stand around and chit-chat with each other, but kept working. Their prices were reasonable for the amount of time it took them as well. I order from them again when needed in the future. They are honest people with a good work ethic, and I would recommend anybody call them for septic tank pumping services.

Questions & Answers

What do I do if I think I need a new septic system?

Joy Paul | Sep 1, 2021
Bertrand Fuchs | Sep 1, 2021

First call your septic company and have them perform a proper septic inspection. An licensed inspector is the only one who can say that your system is failing. There could be minor or major repairs depending on the reason why the system has failed.

What does a septic filter do?

Angeles Mcconnell | Sep 1, 2021
Bertrand Fuchs | Sep 1, 2021

Filters keep the hair, grit and grime from getting out into your leach field lines. A filter goes on the outlet tee of your septic tank and would act as a strainer, keeping all solid large particles in the tank and therefore OUT of your leach field lines.

My pipes are starting to drain very slowly, is it the septic system?

Mohammed Meadow | Sep 1, 2021
Bertrand Fuchs | Sep 1, 2021

Possibly. If your septic has not been serviced in more than 6 months, we would want to service the septic first. If the problem persists, a drain cleaner will then be sent out to clear the washer line to the septic

Should I use a bacteria additive products?

Slaughter Arron | Sep 1, 2021
Bertrand Fuchs | Sep 1, 2021

Yes! Bacteria must be present in the septic tank in order to break down and digest the organic solids. Today, households use a wide range of anti-bacterial soaps, detergents and cleaning fluids. While these ordinary household products do a great job killing unwanted bacteria in your home, they also destroy beneficial bacteria that your system needs in order to function properly.

How often do I need to have my septic tank pumped?

Smalls Elam | Sep 1, 2021
Bertrand Fuchs | Sep 1, 2021

Experts say you should have your system pumped every 1 to 2 years but several factors should be considered when deciding how often your septic tank needs to be serviced. You must take into account the age of the system, the number of occupants in your home, the use of a garbage disposal and the amount of laundry being done in the home. Every system is different. What is right for your system may not be right for your neighbor’s. If you have a question about when your septic system should be pumped, give us a call!

What takes place during a septic pumping service?

Eckert Fountain | Sep 1, 2021
Bertrand Fuchs | Sep 1, 2021

During a proper septic pumping service your technician will pump the entire septic tank down. Once he is done pumping he will check the inlet and outlet tees to the tank to ensure they are still intact and working properly. He will also check the bacteria count and the tank levels. At the end, he will ask you to flush your toilets so he can make sure everything is flowing back properly. Once the service is done he will cover the lid back up and give you a full detailed service report.

What’s the difference between a drain and a sewer?

David Carter | Sep 1, 2021
Camila Mitchell | Sep 1, 2021

A drain is a pipe that drains water and waste from a building and other buildings which belong with it, for example a garage. A lateral drain is a length of pipe which carries wastewater away from your property to a sewer. It’s usually located outside your property boundary, often under a public pavement or road. A lateral drain might run under your property if you share a sewer with your neighbour. A sewer collects water and waste from the drains of a number of buildings. Most sewers are publicly owned and are maintained by your water company. However, there are still some privately owned sewers. Some people aren’t connected to a sewer but to a cesspool, septic tank or treatment plant. If you aren’t connected to a sewer, you won’t have to pay sewerage charges to a sewerage company.

Main causes of main line sewer stoppages?

Edsel Spode | Sep 1, 2021
Sammie Hetherington | Sep 1, 2021

Solutions for clearing a main line sewer stoppage?

Fran Lopez | Sep 1, 2021
Sammie Hetherington | Sep 1, 2021

Often we are asked if it is the city’s responsibility to take care of these types of main line stoppages, and the not-so-straight-forward answer is, it depends. If the problem is within the lateral sewer line, it is actually the home-owner’s responsibility. If you have tried everything, but the clog persists, it might actually be located within the municipal pipe and would then be the city’s issue. This is something you really wouldn’t know until after a thorough inspection. To clear a sewer drain clog though, you will need a sewer drain snake. You can either rent one from your local hardware store or call a professional plumber. I recommend calling a professional plumber, and I promise it’s not just because I am one, but because a professional plumber has the tools not only to unclog your sewer, but to also check for the cause and completely clear the pipes so the problem does not persist.

Causes of a Sewer Stoppage?

Samuele Balfour | Sep 1, 2021
Omero Franzke | Sep 1, 2021

The foreboding signs of a toilet that won’t flush, foul-smelling drains, or sewage coming through your shower often point to a homeowner’s worst nightmare: sewer stoppage. If you notice any of these telltale indications, it may be time to reach out for professional plumbing services. Sewage stoppage is an emergency issue. So, as you wait for help, it can be useful to unscrew the cap of your home’s cleanout. This is located outside, usually within a few feet of your home. Look for the end of a plastic pipe, just above the ground, with a cap or plug. You can unscrew this cap to allow it to spill over outside of your house rather than inside. This will alleviate the issue as it takes place inside your home as you wait for help. However, be sure that as soon as you are aware of the problem to call on professional help immediately.

How Much Does It Cost to Unclog a Kitchen Sink?

Dallas Finlay | Sep 1, 2021
Omero Franzke | Sep 1, 2021

As you wash dishes every day, food and other particles get trapped in your kitchen drains, which can cause them to clog over time. In fact, clogged kitchen sinks are the most common reason for calls to plumbers and are considered a minor issue. However, a clogged kitchen sink may also be a sign of a more serious plumbing issue, so it must be attended to properly by a professional. The national average cost for unclogging a kitchen sink is between $150 and $500, with most people paying around $300 to unclog a kitchen drain using an electric snake. At the low end of the spectrum, you can pay only $100 for minor clogs at any kitchen drain part that is not the main pipe using a snake. At the high end, you can pay up to $1,350 for emergency calls to the plumber in non-business hours for severe clogs in the main pipe line.

Options for Repairing Slab Leaks?

Damian Tello | Sep 1, 2021
Jarrett Strickland | Sep 1, 2021

There are three basic approaches to dealing with a slab leak. The option that’s best for you depends on the extent of the leak as well as the condition of the pipe and the rest of your plumbing system. Repair the damaged section – If the leak is minor and the pipe is in otherwise good condition, this is generally the most practical option. The leaking section of pipe and related fittings can simply be replaced. Epoxy pipe lining is another possible option. This involves lining the interior of the pipe with epoxy to seal the leak and doesn’t require breaking the foundation. Reroute the pipe – If the leaking pipe is old or in poor condition, repairing a leak in one spot could cause a leak to spring somewhere else on that pipe. In this case, the best option may be to shut off the pipe at the closest manifold and re-route it. The pipe will typically be rerouted above ground.

Does My Home Need Hydro Jetting?

Hillery Denton | Sep 1, 2021
Nolan Burk | Sep 1, 2021

Now that you know what hydro jetting is and how it works, you might be wondering if it is right for your home, and the best person to answer this is a licensed and experienced plumber. They will make sure your pipes are in good condition, and if not, they will recommend other solutions to get your drains running smoothly again in no time. However, if you are a good candidate, there are plenty of benefits to hydro jetting versus other drain cleaning solutions.

What are the advantages of using a hydro jet?

Dewsatyhjk Kolpiujmnhjkuy | Sep 1, 2021
Nolan Burk | Sep 1, 2021

Hydro jetting offers serious power against clogs. When you are dealing with sewer lines, tree roots can grow into the pipes and create clogs. Other drain cleaning methods can’t always get rid of stubborn roots. Hydro jetting has the power that it takes to eliminate stubborn roots and cut through clogs. Hydro jetting is the most efficient way to clean out clogged drains.

WHAT IS THE BEST DRAIN CLEANING METHOD?

Peter Krueger | Sep 1, 2021
Burt Ingersoll | Sep 1, 2021

The best drain cleaning method depends on the issue you are having with your drains, the age of your pipes, and a few other factors. If you have a blockage in the drains, you may want to hire a professional to clean them with an auger. Sometimes called a drain snake, an auger unrolls into your drain and pushes the clog through the system. You can buy augers, but ideally, you should not use an auger on your own. If you use too much force, you could easily break through the pipes.

How quickly should I expect drain cleaning service for a clog?

Dillon Firstwife | Sep 1, 2021
Burt Ingersoll | Sep 1, 2021

Some drain cleaning companies make promises they cannot fulfill, such as service in one hour or less. The timeliness of the sewer cleaning service provided depends on a number of factors. The size of the sewer cleaning company, the area they service, and their in-house infrastructure, are just some factors that determine the response time. A reputable drain cleaning company should be able to provide an accurate response time to within a half an hour. If delays occur, advanced notice provided to the client is the industry norm. Most service should be able to be provided in one to two hours. This accounts for travel time as well. You would always verify that you are in the drain company’s service area.

I am very carefull with my drain, so why am I still getting clogs?

Mart Scane | Sep 1, 2021
Burt Ingersoll | Sep 1, 2021

First, you’re doing the right thing. Some basic steps like drain covers and keeping grease and fats from being poured down the drain go a long way toward preventing clogs. If clogs are still happening, you need a drain cleaning, please remember that you can’t stop all unwanted waste from going down the drains. Eventually, drains are going to clog up, and this is one of the reasons routine drain cleaning is so helpful. The clogs may be due to other issues, such as hard water deposits or the previously mentioned broken sewer line.

why the sink in master bathroom is draining really slow?

Paige Maxwell | Sep 1, 2021
Kerr Coley | Sep 1, 2021

If you are having trouble with just one sink draining, then more than likely you have a stoppage in the immediate drain line. These can usaully be removed by using a drain snake to clear the line. However if it is further down the line you might not be able to reach it with a regular drain snake, and you should call your plumber. If the water is draining slowly then you might have what is referred to as a partial stoppage which is allowing some water to pass through at a much slower speed. The first thing you should check is the pop-up to make sure there isn't any obstructions like hair in the line. If there are no obstructions that you can see, you can try using a drain cleaner to remove the debris in the line.

Do you suspect a main line sewer stoppage?

Lazaro Ashworth | Sep 1, 2021
Kerr Coley | Sep 1, 2021

A main line sewer stoppage, or sewer drain clog as it’s also called, is a serious issue. It is considered a top plumbing emergency! A main line stoppage occurs in the main sewer line that connects your home plumbing to either a septic tank or your city’s municipal sewer system. If this line becomes clogged, gray, or used water from your home drain system begins to back up and will eventually start to seep back through your drains in any way possible, and yes, this is often quite a gross site to see! It can also be extremely hazardous to you and your family for a multitude of reasons, such as bacteria and water damage (which leads to mold and other harmful bacteria). So if you suspect a sewer drain clog, you need to get it cleared immediately!

Tamara Goldzamd | Sep 1, 2021

For an immediate fix, which is essentially poking a hole in the stoppage to allow water to drain, we may be able to complete in a day, depending on if we can poke a hole through the obstruction. Although this will allow water to drain in your home again, it’s likely that you will experience the same problem shortly after we leave.

What are the different types of repair options for slab leaks and what are the benefits to each?

Urban Shull | Sep 1, 2021
Kerr Coley | Sep 1, 2021

For residential properties the most common solution is a reroute and for commercial properties the most common solution is a direct repair. A direct repair is when we jackhammer into the floor to expose the pipe and a reroute is when we cancel the line and re-direct the line overhead. Typically residential property homeowners don’t want to ruin their flooring so a reroute is a cost effective and non-invasive solution. Every situation is different and I make sure to talk with my customers to make sure we determine the best fit for them, whether that’s a cost-effective solution or the most long-term solution like a repipe which is when we reroute all of the water lines under the slab.

What Caused the Slab Leak?

Burt Ingersoll | Sep 1, 2021
Kerr Coley | Sep 1, 2021

If your water pressure is too high, it will cause damage to the pipes. This damage will then cause a leak in your slab.

Albrecht Ballantyne | Sep 1, 2021
Kerr Coley | Sep 1, 2021

Clogs in sewer lines can be much more hazardous as they can cause backups in wastewater filled with bacteria.

Lou Aikin | Sep 1, 2021

It’s very unlikely that hydro jetting will damage your drains. Most homes now have plastic pipes, which are quite sturdy and won’t be damaged by a hydro jet. Roots in the sewer lines and other clogs are sometimes more than a snake can handle, but the hydro jet can attack these clogs with no problem. Hydro jets can also be used for maintenance to clean out drains before a clog becomes a problem.
