Chicken soul rolls and black rice were amazing. Customer service, excellent. Myles and Lavonce served us and were very professional. A bit under seasoned with some of the dishes for my taste. Atmosphere was community orientated.

3 words SHRIMP AND GRITS! They are delicately delicious yet full of flavor. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, the grits were creamy, soft and yummmy, can’t forget the broth it’s flavorful and rather delicate. Not greasy, not salty just clean and delicious. Comfort food at it’s finest. If your a spicy person you might want to kick it up with some hot sauce but that’s based on preference. I can’t wait to dig into my peach cobbler and pound cake. The staff was lovely and eager to please. I’ll definitely be back to try your oxtail tacos if I can’t stop myself from ordering the shrimp and grits again. The Sunday brunch menu looks amazing too, I was told that your fried chicken and waffle are the best! Thanks for making delicious food. Love is Life ♥️

I have a New Year day tradition that includes shrimp and grits, gumbo, greens and black eyed peas. I really didn’t feel like cooking this year as I am dining solo due to the fact everyone I normally get together with has Covid, so I called My 2 Cents. The restaurant was actually closed when I called but they took my order anyway and they even waited 25 minutes until I was able to get there. Not only did I love every bite, I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the bag at home to find a carton of sweet cornbread that they threw in as a gift. While they weren’t able to make the shrimp and grits because the kitchen had already been shut down, based on the gumbo alone, I will be going back during regular hours to try their shrimp and grits. I highly recommend anytime you want something delicious to eat and don’t feel like cooking, this is one place you should try.

This Black Woman owned establishment came highly recommend by a close acquaintance and it did not disappoint. My husband and I ordered the BBQ chicken salad, blackened jerk shrimp tacos, shrimp & grits, strawberry & sweet potato cakes, and peach cobbler. The simple yet tasty BBQ chicken salad came with a delicious house made dressing (not pictured) that added depth to the salad. The savory shrimp & grits were my favorite! Yum! I realize corn tortillas, (not my favorite), seem to be the standard in this area. They were used for the blackened shrimp tacos. The tacos did not hold as much flavor as expected, but they were still good enough to enjoy. The desserts were all made from scratch and satisfied my sweet tooth. The strawberry cake was my favorite! Yum! On top of all the great flavors is a spectacular chef with a genuine heart for the community who came out to greet us as we were visiting from VA. Thanks Chef Alisa!Stop by My 2 Cents if you're ever in CA to experience unique southern style cuisine!
