I spent my Memorial Day here. When I arrived the parking lot was full but I didn’t even have to wait more than 5 minutes before someone left. The beach was moderately busy. After going down the stairs to reach the beach there is a rocky area to the right that hides many secluded areas. There are several smooth flat surfaces on the rocks that one could comfortably lounge on. If you’re comfortable traversing the rocks then you can reach the right side of the beach.

Awesome roadside attraction, worth the small hike from the free parking lot just south of the tunnels on hwy 1. Awesome old military bunker, beautiful sights all around, fun stuff!

Park across the street and walk down the steep asphalt. Go towards the right, down the stairs will take you to the beach. Great beach, big waves, and not many people.

Santa Cruz or Stinson Beach are much better options, swimming here is not generally safe.
Sometimes
Yes, but only at the north end.
You can put a tent during the day but camping isn't allowed here. There's pretty nice campground by the beach about 15-20 minutes drive from here. It's called Francis beach campground.
You could, but it is a steep hike down.
No, definitely no lifeguards. The surf here is often quite rough and would not advise swimming, especially not kids.
No...but if you 'baxkpack' the old road from Pacifica, or take an Uber. They don't know you're there.
That is an old ww2 bunker not a gondola
