pretty hike with great wildflowers and views of Pleasanton at your back. A good alternative if you tried to go to the Ridge trail 2 minutes up the road but, like me, discovered that a hiking trail can be private (what? why? not a fan). this one is free as it should be. be ready to walk straight uphill on a dirt compacted path with divets. I saw several people with poles. I hiked in jeans and don't recommend for this one. its a thigh blaster.

Scenic, moderate level hike. Shady place until up you reach the top of the mountain. Trail is narrow and can accommodate only 2 person walking besides.

Generously-sized parking spots which are very close to the Trailhead for Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park - an excellent place to hike (if you can push through the first couple of steep uphill miles😉).

it's not a super easy hike because there's a lot of uphill but it's not slippery so it still feels safe. not too busy. there's restrooms (two stalls) and they're not too gross or dirty. the views are ok. you see the houses down below and some mountains in the distance.

Yes I have seen yesterday two dogs were running around and the owner was running after them calling, so make sure you're not far behind and have an eye on them
I believe they sent out a notice that Pleasanton Ridge is closed due to fire hazard
