Our family of 4 (kids 8 and 10) had to stop in Petaluma to do laundry during our trip from Seattle to San Francisco . We googled places to eat and tried Redwood Cafe. It was excellent. Food was very good, it was self serve but food came quickly once ordered. Good for kids as well. I’d highly recommend if you need a place to stop.

I have to leave a review because let me tell you…. This is the best breakfast I’ve ever had in YEARS. Especially with the pandemic going on, it has been really hard to find a genuinely great place to eat and find great food. Not only great food, but great customer service as well. This was my first time coming here and I ordered ahead and picked up the food so I have not really had the experience to sit in the restaurant myself and order BUT what I can tell you based on the experience I have had… the food is delicious. I got the Veggie Benedict, Sausage on the side, and a little coconut raspberry pastry. EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious. The lady that wrung me up, Jolee, was very personable and kind. I want to give a sincere thank you to the chef, whoever made it, it has been hard to find good food ever since the pandemic. I felt happy to pay $24 for my breakfast. Next time if I’m in the area again with family, I’ll be sure to take them here for dinner or lunch. It’s worth the $$$. Hopefully the next time I will go my experience will be just as great.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, live music, and really good food at reasonable prices. What else could you desire? How about a killer Chicken Fried Steak, eggs, country potatoes, and toast ?

You stand in line to order, then take a number and a seat and prepare your taste buds to be wowed. Seriously, this food is excellent. You can get a traditional breakfast or try something riskier, like one of their specialty plates. Highly recommended.

Quiant dinning with picnic tables a couple modern glass buring pits. I brought my dog and she stayed under table so, either they didn't see her or it was ok.
Redwood Cafe is no longer having open mics or live music.
Safety procedures regarding covid are very strict here. Employees wash hands regularly, wear gloves and change them between customers they also require face masks and the 6 ft of distance between their customers. They're doing a great job and keeping staff and customers safe!
Yes, we have a wood dance floor. We configure the room depending on the band; i.e. sometimes we have a larger dance floor and sometimes we have seated shows. Check out the line-up at www.RedwoodCafe.com
