I never knew that COVID would become the excuse for customer service personnel to no longer have to do there jobs. Went in today to open a personal and business account after going to one branch and being told I have to make an appointment. I was not told to make an appointment for each account and when I got there was told they could only do the personal account. I would need another appointment to do the business because it takes an hour and a half. I’ve never taken that long to open an account. Maybe we are better off with robots instead of humans in customer service or maybe we need to introduce customer service in school to educate people. Needless to say I won’t be banking at chase.

This place treats their customers terribly. I went in yesterday trying to open an account and when I didn’t have proof of my address (what?) they dismissed me.

Questions & Answers

Can you please give me some feedback about the customer service at Chase on Court St. Friendly? Rude? Does staff smile? Are there long lines? ECT.

I loved Chase bank until I got hacked (from a caller using thier fraud number--yes, I called them back, they were able to override the line. Apparently, this is new.) I think I only had a good experience because nothing had ever happened. I have spent several hours over several weeks dealing with the issue, closing and re-opening, then closing and reopening again, just to get my money back. Thier policy says 2 days, it took 2 weeks. And, the new account was supposed to be frozen, yet auto payments and transfers still happened, plus the overdraft fees. But, when I went to Citibank, (to pre-emptively close my account (so it wouldn't get hacked too), it took 1 hour and only 15 minutes on the phone. Because of an address issue. The only bad thing is the closest Citibank is in Hanford or Bakersfield or Fresno. But, thier online and bill pay is the best!
