My significant other and I just moved from Seattle to Chicago a few weeks ago and we are so grateful to have had the best experience with Boerman. Our agent was Nick Ariano and he made the process of a cross-country move incredibly seamless. Nick gave us a very accurate (virtual) quote for both our apartment and our storage unit. He was very professional and very responsive and made himself available to answer all of our questions throughout the move. I highly recommend Boerman and a quality agent like Nick!

I have never ever worked with a company so disrespectful, untrustworthy, and outright dishonest as Boerman Moving and Storage! The move across the US was a disaster when Boerman management decided to move up the date the furniture was being delivered to the new house with just 36 hours’ notice. When they announced this change, we were still only ½ way across the US ourselves, and the painters and carpet layers were busy working in the house under the assumption they had 4 more days to complete their work. Boerman did not tell us they could change the move in date after it was agreed upon by both parties. Boerman now had to find a crew to unload the truck and unpack with only 36 hours’ notice during the COVID labor shortage. They couldn’t find enough people and consequently they were here late into the night even with us doing much of the unloading and unpacking that we prepaid them to do. We ended up coming out of pocket for the painters and carpet layers disruption and extra labor and did a significant portion of the move-in ourselves due to the shortage of crew. Not only did Boerman not offer to compensate us in anyway, they later refused to pay on the insurance claim because the specific damage was not written down by them on the day of the move. Another critical detail which we were not informed was a requirement either verbally or in writing until we submitted the claim. Boerman is totally untrustworthy on so many fronts!

If you opted for the appropriate level of insurance coverage for your items on your contract, you can call the company directly during their business hours to get the claim process started for any damaged items.
