Ad Hoc is a casual fixed price family style restaurant located in Yountville. This is a Michelin Guide Recommended restaurant by Thomas Keller who has earned the most Michelin stars in Napa Valley. They offer a multi course menu that changes everyday. It's usually not fancy food but it is always good food. Best fried chicken in town. Left satisfied and can't wait to be back again.

The fried chicken and corn bread were delicious, both were moist - the chicken was flavorful. The drinks are also very good- bartender was great! Overall staff were friendly, we were seated quickly around 5pm on a Monday night. The place was very busy. Highly recommend the chicken and cornbread. Indoor and outdoor/garden seating available, beautiful ambiance.

Quick Summary Great food, ambiance and service. Simple foods prepared in expert fashion. Prix fixe menu is required per seat for table reservations, but can order a la carte at the bar. The menu changes daily, but the most notable dishes were the fried chicken and the beef cheek. Food- 5 stars Every dish was spectacular. Probably one of the best fried chicken I've had, as they used dark meat only and the skin was so crunch and rich. Every dish was simple (e.g. potato salad, fried chicken) but was done so well that it was the best I've had for each dish. Large portions, so would be best to split the prix fixe menu between 2 if you have the option Service- 5 stars The service was solid throughout. Our bartender, Vincent, was helpful with the menu (add on options) and drink choices Ambiance- 5 stars Well ventilated, well lit, and bustling. Enjoyed the experience throughout Bottom Line Great food, drinks and service. Will be coming back!

$45 per person for table dine in: salad+BBQ beef and potatoes + deserts. food so-so, not my cup of tea. Extra: one hair in the BBQ plate… didn’t found it at the beginning. The waitress provided a new plate without hesitation, deserved 1 start. Food on photos were for 4 ppl, not one. Fried chicken was an option cost $30 five pieces. Didn’t take desert photo tho. Overall $75+ per person for this?! Forgot to say, they still charged us the BBQ dish … it’s a life lesson to me and my friends but you can AVOID.

It's casual. No need for formal attire although some people dress a bit fancy. A business casual is ok.
I wouldn’t risk showing up without one.
