It was actually a pleasant experience. I am glad the library which I grew up going to can AGAIN be enjoyed by my children. The library smelled like books and the smell of sanitizer. We stopped going to the library in early 2019 because it became a homeless men & women day shelter. The kicker was the awful smell the library had when it was like that. My daughters were disgusted and didn't want to ever go back. NOW if it continues to be clean and pleasant we plan to go to our library a lot! I am glad the library is a library again!

I love libraries period. I am happy that I can order my books online and pick them up at the Excelsior library.

i went in to this library and it has a couple of public computers but they need more computers there. People who work there are very nice and very helpful too.

This is a functional library that does a good job with requests. But other than that, it's pretty much one big room. I wish the library would do more to engage students from nearby high schools.

Yes, the Excelsior branch is open for browsing and also a few selected libraries around SF as well too. Be sure to check sfpl browse and bounce program.
Yes. You can go to the SFPL website and look up the days and hours of operation. They are open Tuesdays to Saturdays.

I haven't heard of any of the branches offering viewing lenses for the eclipse.
