It depends on the drug, but most remain safe and effective long after their official expiration date. While drugs do gradually lose their potency with time, most expiration dates are extremely conservative. The expiration date is merely the limit at which pharmaceutical companies are willing to guarantee their product. If you want to play it safe, discard the drug after it expires.
The pharmaceutical industry is one of the most regulated industries in the world. Each government has its own set of rules regarding the export/import of generic and brand drugs. With decades of experience, A-Plus Corporation is familiar with the export/import procedures for most countries. Contact one of our representatives if you have questions about the specific requirements pertaining to your country.
The FDA enacted the REMS program in an effort to improve safety standards. If the FDA requires REMS for a particular drug, the manufacturer must take additional steps to prove that the benefits of the drug outweigh the risks. We cannot, therefore, sell REMS drugs at this time.
A-Plus Corporation carries approximately 95% of all FDA-approved generic and brand drugs that are currently on the market. The 5% of drugs we don’t sell fall within the FDA’s Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS).
New customers must send cash in advance. Repeat customers can use an irrevocable and confirmed letter of credit. Note that this is a general guideline. It may change on a case-by-case basis.
New customers must provide a few important documents. Before we accept your order, we will need to see your pharmaceutical license. After you accept the quotation and pro-forma invoice, but before we ship the products, we will need a copy of your import permit to prove that you are allowed to legally import pharmaceutical products to your country. Note that these are general guidelines. They may change on a case-by-case basis.
We can ship urgent orders (e.g. cancer drugs) within 48 hours, as long as the product is available.
Usually, we ship in two to four weeks, although lead time depends on factors such as manufacturer inventory.
We always try to deliver all the products in one shipment. If there is a shortage of a particular product, we may need two to three shipments to complete the order.
The quantity of brand/generic drug we can handle depends on several factors, such as: - the specific product being ordered - the timing of the order - whether the manufacturer has sufficient inventory For certain generic drugs, we can ship up to 50,000 packs (of 100 tablets) in one shipment.
