Ingles Markets

I normally go to the Cornelia or Clarkesville Ingles. I came to this one which was very well stocked and clean. Upon checking out, I was asked by the cashier "Cynthia" if I have an ingles card. I do but I do not carry it so I attempted to type it in on the pin pad. I have never had an issue in doing so. Mine did not work twice and so I tried my husbands as well. No success. I explained to the cashier it was not working and she very rudely stated "no one has had an issue until you." She then proceeded to ask if I wanted to try another number, I politely declined. She said again very rudely "so you're good then?" She provided me no additional solution to the problem. My groceries were $30 more than they should have been thanks to the absurdity of ingles and their mark-ups. I will certainly not go back to this ingles and I will try to use Walmart and Kroger whenever I can.

All I can say is that it would be a much better place to shop in spite of some prices being slightly higher than their competitors if the Customer service mgr (clerk) Megan was not there; she is quite rude!!

Ingles has a good selection of fruits and vegetables, as well as a vast array of frozen food items. Their meat department is really nice & you can actually watch them cut your meat, if you feel so inclined. They are quite more expensive than the other grocery stores in my area; however, they have amazing weekly sales that make it worth taking a look.

Great store! Dept people are knowledgeable. Manager is a super nice guy. Just like any grocery store checkout lines could improve. Overall though, still 5 stars.
