As a 1st time volunteer it was awesome. The Sacramento tree foundation was putting in 20 valley oak trees among other items as well at garden valley elementary in Sacramento (Natomas). My kids really wanted to help with and with a neighbor who was volunteering told us about it. Thankyou!!!! The whole setup was great. They had everything needed, supplied water, snacks and lunch. The weather was great and the amount if people who showed was incredible. So many people volunteering and helping out a local school, neighborhood and community get some shade and to put a dent in that carbon foot print. As a kid I remember hearing about tree planting and the good it does. From now to many years ahead of us. Check them out to see when the next event is and see if you can volunteer! Makes you feel good inside and out, and make some new friends!

You are responsible. You are allowed to prune anything over your property line . And if the branch breaks it's considered an act of god. Unless the tree is dead the it's negligence
We do not provide wood chips, but you can get free wood chips from SMUD by calling (916) 732-5900 and picking them up from 8am-5pm at 6100 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento. You can also check with local tree care companies to see if they can deliver free wood chips.
