Great place to visit with extremely friendly staff. To see their dedication and efforts to help rescue and release these beautiful marine mammals back into their natural environment is heartwarming.

Home of the best of humanity. This is an overall summary of the care, fortitude, dedicated professional medical personnel, passionate employees & volunteers. And of course the stars being the rescues. They'll be released back into the wild once healed. The MMC has my heart & donations.

Back in the 1980s I worked here as a volunteer. We all took great care to step into trays of disinfectant to wash any germs from our shoes before entering the room where I prepared food for orphaned and injured baby seals. My favorite pup was “Spike” who made the SF news after his release by finding his way back to the Marine Center. He must have missed the cream and anchovies I had made for him in a blender!! This amazing organization has a history of successfully rehabilitating and releasing thousands of marine mammals ❤️

Interesting place, small practical place! You can obviously stay as long as you like but you can perfectly go in and out in 15 min. I would recommend to plan this as a stop before going to the near beach or the Point Bonita Lighthouse. Sadly you will see the damage we have created to the Ocean with all of our plastic 😥

I believe that's to big of a group but you can call and maybe have a group reservation
Reservations are required at this time to control the amount of people on site. Other than that I don't know.
Yes, but there is no fee.
TMMC is open again! Check out the website tmmc.org for details. They're open on weekends but you must have reservations.
Yes please call for new hours
Sorry, but the Marine Mammal Center is closed to the public likely through early summer.
The beach area there is magical on a good weather day. The center is more of a field trip / education center. I think maybe 2.5 is a tad young unless playing on the beach is like 70% of your trip.
Check out this link to see the current list of patients. No eels http://www.marinemammalcenter.org/patients/current-patients-page/
Check out their website. .. everything you need to know is listed there.
Check the site for the latest, but typically a lot of seals and sea lions
This is for public comments. Call the center to find out.
Right now there are three otters on site, but it changes. The website has a page on current patients where you can see patient counts and brief histories.
