Pros: Very well trained horses and a beautiful farm with beautiful trails. The owner was very nice and accommodating about rescheduling the trail ride when my son was sick. Five stars for the horses. Cons: The owner should really fill in the holes in the ground and pick up a metal and other pieces that she doesn't want the horses walking over. Leaving it to beginning riders to watch for holes on unfamiliar territory really creates a safety hazard for both the horses and the riders. Some tree limbs could be cut along the trails also. Awful:. Even though I'm pretty sure that the person I spoke to by phone who was accommodating about rescheduling our ride was the same person who was our tour guide, they seemed like two very different people. The tour guide, who I believe to be the owner, is NOT a people person, and definitely not a kid person. My son's fiance's kids are 7 and 11. They are extremely well behaved kids. There was no fussing or fighting or anything that would normally annoy a person about a child. She was annoyed from the start and snapped at them from beginning to end. The 11-year-old was already nervous and under the scrutiny and criticism really could not enjoy herself. It started when the owner told us the four things we would have the horse doing. When the 11-year-old could not repeat what she said, her mom reminded her, and the owner told the mom, "how is she ever going to learn how to do anything for herself if you're always coming to the rescue." We did not know this lady 15 minutes before she started saying hateful things like that. There were other similar remarks. We did not pay $400 to come there for parenting advice. She snapped at the 7-year-old to hush and stop talking, but I don't think he was talking anymore than any other 7 year old might talk on a horseback riding trip. She also snapped at the adults. It wasn't just what she said; it was the very hateful tone and demeanor. I don't know if she was just having a bad day or what, but her negativity and bad vibe truly ruined the experience. Since she also spent a lot of time screaming at her dog, it was just her mood. I'm not the biggest kid person either, but these are some pretty great kids. If you can't handle them, I don't think you can handle any children. I don't know what happened for you to have such a bad day and be in such a poor disposition, but it was difficult not for it to become contagious. Perhaps limit your excursions to experienced riders over 16 years old. We came to have a nice relaxing experience and to be one with nature, not to be chastised, criticized, and made to feel like we were intruding. The stars are for the horses.

I had such a great time riding with Sandi. We had so much in common it was uncanny! She has such a passion for the animals in her care, you can see the love they have for her the minute she walked out to the paddocks. The babies (miniature horses) were so sweet, I just loved giving them scratches and seeing them smile. The trails were awesome, very well maintained! A great time all around.

Wonderful trail ride! The group I joined had all experience levels and Sandi handled us all patiently and very professionally. The horses were all beautiful and friendly. They were all saddled and ready for us when we arrived. Sandi matches you with a horse that will fit you. She put the bridle on, introduced you to your horse and pointed out any quirks....mine doesn't like gravel so I let him chose his path the few times there were stones. Most of the trail was sandy or just dirt in the forest. Lovely ride.

This was the best horseback riding experience that my husband and I have ever had. Sandi was so knowledgeable and very helpful. The horses there are beautiful and so loving! We did a 2 hour ride through the Goethe State Forest, which is absolutely stunning!
