Contractors typically annoy me. They hardly ever arrive on time, clean up after their work or live up to their promises. LA Decks is the exception having proved time and time again over the course of a long project that they do what they say they'll do and get it right on the first try. They have crews that specialize in each individual area (the deck itself, kitchen/barbecue area, fencing, stucco and paint) and each of them is led by a foreman with experience and patience. We are more than pleased with the end result - we are delighted. Visitors have been stunned at the beauty and quality of the final product. The most important endorsement I could offer is that given the opportunity to do it all over again I'd choose to work with them without hesitation. They're honest, professional and prompt. It's hard to ask for anything more of a contractor. I'd give them 6 stars if i could.

Our family had a very good experience with LA Decks. We wanted to replace our uneven, sloping brick back patio with a flat deck that was easy and safe for a wheelchair user to negotiate, with custom ramps to both sides of our house. The company was professional, very experienced in deck design and execution, well-staffed with good people and produced a good contract. Co-owner Victor came out to discuss particular concerns when the job started, and after listening to our needs his design suggestions ensured that the finished deck would solve the wheelchair mobility problems that we’d had with our old patio. The work team proved to be very experienced, meticulous and lovely to work with: they produced a beautiful, well-crafted Trex deck that will last for decades and works perfectly for our needs. LA Decks gave us good value and were well worth the money. We’d go with them again.

IPE Brazilian wood material is one of the densest pieces of wood that is available on the market. This wood is naturally resistant to termites and rot. Due to the density of the wood, a knowledgeable deck builder needs to pre-drill the IPE in order to install it to avoid breaking the screws and the boards. If taken all the necessary steps to correctly install the IPE, the deck barely needs any maintenance only an annual power wash and oiling of the deck. Most clients with our help can easily do it on their own but LA-Decks does offer an annual refinishing deck service at a Low Price
