This is a place I love to visit, I remember it being our first stop on the way to grandma's house. Looking for alligators, chameleons, and many other sites are phenomenal.

Nice beautiful conversation park located in the Hillsborough county. One can easily spend a day hiking all trails and picnicking in this park. There is also kayaking launch area. Plenty of parking available on both sides of the road around entrance to the park. Public restroom is available. There are 3 main trails in the park. Trails are located along the river. Bald Cypress trail is definitely the beautiful with unpaved trail but located very close to the river and displays a lot of bald Cypress trees. There is also a river overlook located at the end of trail. The Morris bridge boardwalk trail is another beautiful trail. The 3rd being buteo trail. There is another trail named river overlook that joins you to bald Cypress trail. Admission fees is just $2 and it's worth it.

Very nice. Boat ramp, fishing piers. Marked trails, pet friendly on most. Very clean restrooms. $2 for parking

We kayaked from John Sergeant Park to here; it was a 4.5 mile easy float down the river. This park has $2 parking which can be paid with a credit card. There are picnic tables, a boat launch, and clean restrooms. There was a good current down stream to Morris Bridge, so we only needed to paddle to steer. It was blissfully quiet along the way. We saw 11 gators, three large turtles, 2 otters playing, and dozens of birds. I posted quite a few pictures of wildlife and nature on my review of John Sargent Park.

There is a $2 parking fee. You used to have to bring cash, but they recently put in a machine that accepts cards & prints a receipt
I was just there two weeks ago. And the park was open but the nature trail was still under water. If you want to go to the Overlook you'll have to go up the other Trail. But folks were out there fishing and taking photos when I was there.
I remember paying $2.00 to park. There is a ticket machine there
Yes you can take your dog there there was no signs saying no dogs allowed
