Awesome look back into the History of Early Ft. Lauderdale. Wow, does it have a story to tell and you see and touch some of it. 👍

This is a very interesting History of Old South Florida; The exhibits are very old or replicas, and there is the main museum and two other houses. One house is a house of one of the founders of Ft Lauderdale, and the other is a replica of the first schoolhouse of the city.,1898.

While briefly in Fort Lauderdale, I took a walk along Riverwalk North which follows New River in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. I only had time to peruse the outside. The beautiful setting of the remains of a once military garrison begs for more serious study next time. In any case, the grounds are immaculate and astonishingly remind me of historic grounds in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Mr Smith provided an excellent tour and great information. His passion on the topics of the local history of ft Lauderdale really made the time fly. The museum and grounds are very well maintained. An excellent visit.
