Very nice place. The waitress was very nice. The food was very good. They have breakfast all day so I had the fabulous French toast and it definitely was fabulous. My wife had a turkey club and my mother had the Cobb salad. We were very happy with the service, food and atmosphere.

Finally! I moved to MD in October and haven’t found a lot of places that I can order crab because I have celiac disease. This place not only has a GF menu, but they GF crab options! I got the Chesapeake omelet and there was an ample amount of jumbo lump crab. It was great! The sauce that came with it was delicious and I ordered extra. This place is a quaint little diner, nothing fancy. Service was great— and that’s coming from someone who needs to ask a bunch of annoying questions about the ingredients. The staff was helpful and gracious, never made me feel like I was bothering them. If I could offer suggestions for improvement, it would be to ditch the plastic ramekins for reusable ones. Maybe also have old bay on the table? I don’t know if that’s a thing around here. And bonus— just because they were so great, I started asking more questions. Their Wednesday prime rib is GF! I will definitely be back.

Friendly staff. Inviting decor. Good apps. Bad entrees. The calamari was a hit. The wings were a little undercooked and the celery was brown. Bruschetta tomatos were not quite ripe. But not bad. The entrees were bad. No one had more than a bite or 2. My grilled chicken sandwich being the worst offender. The tomato was thicker than the chicken. I really don't know what they were going for there. 2 bites and I gave up. Too bad... We were planning our next visit after looking at the menu. Unfortunately the food cured that desire. "Where's the Chicken?"

Nov. 18, 2021 - Owner Chris Beck opened the Mt. Airy Inn 11 years ago, in 2010 . . . We often would come in after church on Sundays for the great sandwiches or breakfast items with our friends. We moved to Maine 6 years ago. We suggested to our friends who picked us up at BWI airport today, “let’s STOP for drinks”! Here we are. . . Back in town at the Mt. Airy Inn, feels like coming HOME to the best beer list 🍺🍺 in miles , and excellent brick oven pizza! 🍕🍕. “Sam” served up a flight (5 beers) from a long list of choices! *My Beers 😎* Silver Branch Dr. Juicy & Mr. Nugs IPA Goose Island Christmas IPA Yuengling Hershey Porter Black Flag Divining Rod IPA Red Shedman Strawberry Shortcake Cider Over the years we’ve tried most everything on their menu, from the soups & salads, to the homemade brick oven pizzas, to the sandwiches, seafood, chicken dishes, to meatloaf. It’s all good comfort food, served with a smile and “ aim to please” everyone that comes in the door. During the Covid era they’ve added a big tent in the front parking lot to triple their outside table service! Hopefully we wrap up this pandemic, take the big tent down, and return to one of my favorite restaurants in Mt. Airy ! I rate this a solid 4.6 establishment . . . thanks to the folks at Mt. Airy Inn, for all the good food & BEER ! *Background on Mt. Yes Deborah, we do have free WiFi! If you have any problems connecting to it, the Dunkin Donuts right next door also has free WiFi you can connect to, if needed.
As of today (10/36/20) we currently aren't able to reserve the upstairs area due to Covid-19 restrictions. We do have the upstairs area open on weekends for normal, social distanced dining.
