We've lived in Frederick for years, and only since the pandemic started take out and eat in here. It is now our best and favorite place for Chinese and Thai food in town. The food is absolutely delicious. The take out service is exceptional, the eat in service is phenomenal.

Got the shrimp pad Thai; it is absolutely horrible. As you can see in the picture the dish is absolutely flavorless and I believe they forgot to add the sauce all together. I’ve been in the past and it is clear that ever since covid the quality of food here has drastically declined. I would not recommend eating here, try Thaimeric down the street; much better quality and flavor.

First I want to say I ordering from them a few times and the food has been consistent. I'm not going lie I haven't had a lot of their food and that is only because I'm stuck on their beef lo mein. It is one of the best lo mein I ever ate. Their portions of beef is a lot and the noodles are very flavorful and delicious. The large bowl is huge It definitely can feed more than two people but it so good I'm not sharing. My fiance love the soft shell crab. She order it every time we go there and last night she definitely order 2 combo dinner. Also their cheese steak egg rolls are good as well. The only reason I gave them 4 stars and not 5 stars is because I haven't tried more of their food and because of covid they was only doing take out but they are open back up and it looks very nice inside. So I will go back and sit down to eat and I will update with full experience of the restaurant.

From the very beginning, with a steaming hot towel for our hands, I was in love. The 5 star reviews do not lie! Modern Asia has amazing food! I had hot and sour soup, yum yum shrimp, Thai Basil Chicken, and a Great Wall Sunrise. My domestic king had honey roast pork, chicken panang curry, and the French Pear. Every dish/drink was fantastic! I even said at one point, "OK, I'd move to Frederick just to eat here regularly!" 😂😉 The wait staff were incredibly attentive without being suffocating. Drinks were kept filled. Really awesome hole-in-the-wall. We'll be back!
