We were here to enjoy the 4th of July celebration. As usual Frederick didn't disappoint. We drive 1.5hrs to come to the various festivals up here and they are always great. Frederick has such wonderful food and atmosphere. If it wasn't cost prohibitive we would move closer.

My favorite location. I love to go by there in planning my routes. Frederick parks and recreation department deserves a complement for the excellent way they make Frederick beautiful! Today the colors and beautiful landscaping persuaded me to stop to enjoy and get a few pictures for posting for my friends and family. Thank you!

This park runs parallel to Carroll Creek and has a trail that runs beside the creek. At the front is a reservoir with waterfalls, careful there's a large slope here. In the park is a bell tower that rings. Further back the creek becomes more desolate and overgrown. There's a suspended bridge that gives great views of the park. There's the usual offerings such as a playground and picnic pavilions. A public pool was there but not open despite being July. Perhaps because a thunderstorm just came through.

Baker park is a lovely park in downtown Frederick Maryland. The park has a great compliment of amenities from tennis courts and public pool, to baseball and soccer fields. The paths are all paved and perfect for wheel chair access with minimal inclines. Culler lake is a beautiful feature in the center of the park with a lovely fountain and plentiful birds like black-crowned night herons and ducks. We visited the park as a part of a run and absolutely loved our time here. Wish it was closer so we could come back.

The trails are 1 mile, 1.5 mile, 2 mile and 5 k loops. You can check each route out on line. Please do remember that all trails are shared - walkers, runners and bikers. Enjoy!
