Was a nice place quiet relaxing, good for peace of mind, Good for picknicking with family, not great for laying in the sand, full of red ants, and sand fleas, more of dog beach, people brought horses, and pet dogs there..nice for fishing tho..

Definitely recommend! Was there just a couple of days ago. We are visiting from NY and found this area on Google. Very private and clean and beautiful. It was wonderful having our own little private piece of heaven instead of going to a very congested beach. Lots of different fish, tons of horseshoe crabs. Can not wait to go back to visit as it’s easily one of my favorite places now.

Quiet, isolated and just what I was looking for. Perfect spot to get away from the crowds and enjoy time with the family as well as grill. What a hidden gem in the middle of tons of beaches filled with tourists. Not only was the place sparsely populated but only $5 to park and spend a good six hours chilling. I'll definitely make this a stop next time I'm in town as it hit all the right marks.

Nice and quiet. Bike and walk trail close by. Plenty of parking. A lot of pavilions, tables, and grills for picnic and gathering right next to the small beach area. Only one restroom. I would go there again for BBQ and trail walking.

Questions & Answers

I live on Oakwood drive which ends on the bay at shore drive. Water looks kind of dark. All the time. Can you swim in it? If not is there a place within biking distance that I can swim... not too far biking, I’m old!

We swam in it my kids swim in it one of my kids friends swam with us and cut her foot on a barnacle however the water is dark but it's a lot clearer when you go to the South... any of that water in the area you could take a dip in even the pond where the zip lines are! Have fun =)
