I really want to like this place. I like the seating, ordering, and the environment. The food was not good. On this visit we ordered brisket sandwiches and sides. The meat on our sandwiches was dry, leathery, tough, and sparse. The fries were cooked well, but had an odd smell or taste. We are going to give it another chance. This used to be a good place for BBQ.

We were on limited time and everyone was super friendly, and accommodating to a problem that I have swallowing. I had really tasty green beans and my travel partner said his pulled pork was great. Their hospitality made us feel like family. I also purchased 10 bottles of their sauce as requested by my daughter in Indiana. They put it in cute gift bags! Everyone should go there for a good meal

Lots of different options on the menu. I had a half-rack of ribs with two sides and hush puppies. I ordered the ribs without sauce on them so I could look at them and see the bark level and the seasoning that may have been used. The ribs, as pictured, had no bark to speak of whatsoever. My guess is they take a short smoke bath and then spend quite a bit of time wrapped up or in an oven to finish but I could be wrong. I’m just not sure how else you end up with so little bark. The smoke flavor was still present and they had nice bend and consistency. The sides were okay - I had fried okra and Mac n cheese. The hushpuppies were hot and tasted good. Service was good. Overall a solid experience.
