Had a kale and cheddar scone, and a cappuccino. Both were perfect. Very impressive place. The coffee itself is good too.

My espresso was pretty good! They use a lighter roast which def gives it a more tangy/sour profile, which isn't what some are probably used to when it comes to espresso. I bought one of their bags of coffee to take home and give a try. I brewed their Honduras "La Sierra" as a pour over. It's pretty good! Def has some grape notes and toffee notes as they say, and it's overall a pretty solid bean. I will say it is kind of flat for a light roast. Was hoping for some juicier mouth feel. Overall decent. Not sure it's worth the price point but hey, it's a primo area, coffee prices are in crazy flux right now due to global trade, and they've got workers to pay, so I get it. Overall experience 4/5

If you love quality coffee, head to Rare Bird Coffee Roasters, a specialty roasters in Falls Church City on the same strip as a bright mural and a hardware store over 150 years old. The space is inviting with tables throughout. Due to the pandemic and holiday schedule, they set up takeout only when I visited. Ordering online took seconds and within minutes my latte was ready for pick up from the back. They keep two restrooms open for takeout customers. My cardamom latte was well brewed and not overpowering in spice. It was refreshing on a cloudy winter morning.

Today was my first time coming here, probably since the beginning of 2020, and I was happy to see that there is more seating than there was before! I usually go just for a cappuccino, and their cappuccino is very good, but their lattes are very good too. I also really like their lavender latte when they have it!

Thank you for the question Rachel, and thank you for answering Corey! Yes, we are re-opening tomorrow 11/30, from our brief closure due to a family household member of one of our staff testing positive for Covid-19. We have since received our negative test results and are cleared to re-open. Stay safe!
