Alaska, sadly, not any different than most of these airlines. Last five, yes five flights with Alaska have had a delay. Today’s delay is due to the co-pilot not being here. We are waiting for him or her to show. That falls under the category of “not my problem”. Yet, we all sit on an aircraft they knew ahead of time would not leave as scheduled. Why board us knowing this? Nothing will be done. Weather related delays I can accept but poor planning I cannot. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere but then it is likely that elsewhere will treat you the same. The airlines need to be held accountable and better laws put in place to protect the consumer. As it stands now, the airlines can get away with murder and there is not a lot the average person can do about it.

Having traveled in First Class twice a week for over 3 yrs before, I know what to expect when flying. First class on Alaska, leaves a lot to be desired. One of the issues, on a 6 hour flight they practically starved us in first class. We were not offered any drink or complimentary items at all. The only available food was a small half sandwich. Something always go wrong on every flight. Plane late, or delayed departure, or sudden change in scheduling, or mediocre snack; problems with Alaska every time. When I wrote to Alaska customer service they said they are trying to keep cost down. They forget that people pay several times higher fairs to sit in first class for comfort and all those amenities but they are not providing them. On this occasion not coffee or hot drinks were offered, not even a welcome onboard juice or anything. And the seats have been tightened up to accommodate more passengers in First Class so you have reduced leg room and not that comfortable new seats. Not to mention it’s a bring your own hand held iPad to the plane to watch any movies. If you did not have a hand held device, you may be sitting at 39,000 ft watching the sky go by. On another occasion Alaska left our luggage in the rain, items became soaked in rain water but when we called them to express our displeasure, they ignored our call. They promised to call back but they never did since December 2018. They must be vey busy dealing with many complaints. And at Alaska Boston Logan boarding location at terminal C and the gates C40-C42 area are very dated, the standards and amenities are none existent, worse I have seen. Very small area, with practically no food to eat. You will have to come out of security area and find food. Check-in was ok, but the plane was delayed yet again. Flight delays seem to be regular occurrence on Alaska Airlines

Best airline experience in years. Nothing super special, BUT...you know what? It was refreshing that EVERY employee I was in contact with seemed happy and helpful. I consider myself easy going, and I understand people can be stressed out etc...but I've been yelled at, found rudeness without reason at United and American . Alaska air was friendly and competent at every step. I try to limit my credit cards in wallet, but I was so impressed I joined their credit club... I'll fly them again. My west coast family flies with them frequently and praised them around the dinner table . Usually we are trading "airline horror stories" . However nothing but praise here. Keep,up the good service, fair prices, friendly staff...a winning combo.

From Cabos to Sacramento, regrettably our flights delayed. We were disenchanted the flights were delayed since we were carrying two children. We were unsure how they will react staying at the airport longer than expected. Thankfully, the kids behaved. If we knew sooner, we could have stayed longer at the hotel relaxing or swimming with the kids. Even though it delayed, the airlines ended up compensating us with free meal vouchers (to be used at the airport) and $100 future travel credit. Thank you Alaska Airlines for your sincerity. We appreciate it.

Yes!

How far do I walk from The Alaskan Gates to get to united airlines gates?

Average walking pace would be 8-10min ONLY if transferring from gate to gate directly. If you exit the secure area, it will be way much longer. So, Just stay inside the "secure" side. Exit your plane at the gate, walk past the main central food court seating area then towards the front to TSA passenger security checkpoint area ahead of you. On your right you will soon see the Alaska Lounge. Walk past this lounge, then enter the corridor to your right just before the security exit area. This corridor will lead you directly to the United Airlines gates (no TSA security checkpoints). At the end of this hallway, E gates will then be on your right. F gates is further down.

If you are a "rideshare", go to the 5th floor domestic garage pickup section "D" area. If you are family/friend, etc, go to Terminal 2 lower arrivals level curbside.
