I have worked with Arrowhead Lake Association several times, both in person and over the phone, and I've always had a very pleasant customer service experience. The staff are very knowledgeable and very helpful in resolving my lake homeowner association needs.

Weather in the summer is just perfect. And a great place to eat is El Papagayo's

Amazing location in the mountains just a bit outside of Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Private lake with a great amount of activities for the young and the young at heart. Water-skiing m, sailing, wake-boarding, fishing, fireworks, running, 4x4ing. Also works well as a base to hit the local ski slopes at Snow Valley, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Several restaurants to select from in the village.

We have come to the ALA a few times getting our membership set up and each time they have been really helpful and friendly. The staff here is awesome! They are never too busy, they're great at customer service, and they even gave us a couple of tips on where to go swimming or fishing. The membership fees are completely worth it, especially when the staff is so helpful!

To clarify: Do you have to live in Lake Arrowhead full-time to be a member of ALA? No. Do you have to own property in Arrowhead Woods to be a member of ALA? Yes. Part-time/vacation/second home owners in Arrowhead Woods may be members of ALA.
Yes, if you have to have a membership to access the lake unless you are with someone else that has a membership.
On average we get our first snow sometime around Christmas, and intermittent snow from December to March. Some years we get snowstorms into June, but this is rare. Temperatures almost never get below freezing, but daytime highs in the winter almost never exceed 60 degrees. Nighttime lows usually hover around 15-30 degrees.
I agree with Esteban. You have to own a property around the lake and be a Lake Arrowhead Association member to have an access to the lake, including beaches and surrounding trails. Hope that helps.
That's a good question..let me check and II let you know..
In order to use a human-powered vessel on the lake, you need to have a membership, have homeowners insurance that covers your vessel (most homeowners insurance does) register each vessel with ALA, and then pass either the boat operator’s test or the human-powered vessel operator’s test. Both can be taken online, but you still need to visit the office to have your photo taken and your license printed.
No, jet skis are not allowed on Lake Arrowhead. Additionally, as a non-owner I believe you must be accompanied by an owner in Arrowhead Woods to access the lake according to the current rules and regulations.
Do you have lake rights, did you buy the $100 fishing pass for 2020, and do you have an up to date CA fishing license? If you don't have all 3, you can't fish this lake from anywhere. If you do have all 3, you can fish from about anywhere you can get to the lake from the ala paths except the marina and the village. You can't get on the docks unless you own them though so its tough.
This is outdated information. Please check the website for current rules and regulations.
No, you must own a property within the "Woods" of the lake
Either address is fine. Just use the No State hwy address.
ALA members have specify docks that we may park at. They are "convenience" docks & are located at the Village (where there are 3 docks) , the marina, & Tavern Bay (which has been closed due to renovation/ replacement). There used to be a public dock by the island but I'm not sure if it's there anymore. ALA office has maps & can show you where they are. You may not park in other docks as they belong to other boat owners - even for a few hours.
