Went on a school field trip with 5th graders. Great experience. Had a great tour guide Joe. So much history in that building. Awesome structural work, at work amazing.

The tour was packed with lots of history and interesting facts. There's a library with a glass floor. The entire capitol feels like a museum filled with murals and classical art. The chambers were in session and it felt as if the old days were back alive with the political figures debating in rooms that are filled with a glorious past.

One of the nicer state capitols, especially with the striking murals, especially that of John Brown, the famous abolitionist. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

There is a snack bar on the 3rd floor that is open during Legislative session (Jan.-Apr.). There are vending machines on the garden level. As of the end of November 2019, they are close to finishing a new dining area to the south of the visitor's center, off the main hallway.
Not there. Must visit http://www.kdheks.gov/vital/about_ovs.html
