I am livid. If I could score less than 1 star I would. The pharmacy at the Ammon Idaho is supposed to be 24 hours. My regular pharmacy is Walgreens in Idaho Falls. My wife tested positive for Covid-19 and we went to our pharmacy to try and get Paxlovid which we had understood the CDC had granted pharmacists the ability to prescribe. Our pharmacy said that was not the case and that we needed to get a Dr. to prescribe. They also said that they would close at 5 pm but the Ammon pharmacy was open 24 hours. Since it was Saturday afternoon our only option was Dr. On Demand an online service. We were able to get a prescription sent to the Walgreens in Ammon. I got a notice at 8:15 that the prescription was ready. I pulled up to the drive through at 9 pm. There were signs leaning against the window from the inside stating that they were closed. One of the signs said that for the week from 6/4 through 6/11 they would close at 10. I was a full hour before the time the sign said they were going to close. I knocked on the window and was ignored for 3 or 4 minutes. Finally the pharmacy tech came and told me that they closed at 9. I explained that the Dr. wanted my wife to start the Plaxovid tonight because the sooner you start it the better it works. The tech said that she would ask the pharmacist. She came back and said that they couldn't help me and totally ignored me again. I drove to the front of the store and went in and asked to speak to the store manager who said he would go and see if there was anything he could do. He came back and said that the pharmacist had already left and there was nothing he could do. He did say that he was going to run my complaint up the chain of command. A store as important to their customers health as a pharmacy should be open their stated hours. This pharmacy made a decision to close at 10 without giving notice to their sister stores which send customers there for 24 hour service. Then they actually closed an hour before their posted temporary hours. They didn't even have the courtesy to let me know in the text that said the prescription was ready to pick up. All is would have taken was a note in the notice that said they were closing at 9pm. But looking at other reviews of this Walgreens pharmacy they do not care about their customers at all.

Store is great, pharmacy is horrendously over priced. My meds, there, would have cost me well over $100 every re-fill. Just got it at Albertsons for $12.39.

If i could give a half a star i would. Love the store but the pharmacy is the worst I've ever been too! Mostly it's the Technicians that have NO CLUE if it's night or day. Yes I can go to any other pharmacy but with my sons medical conditions requires him to have 24 access to a pharmacy in case of emergencies. I've had numerous problems and issues with our child's prescription

I always have problems here. About 2 weeks ago I had a rx called in and went to get it about 30 mins later. After I waited 20 more minutes in line they told me it would probably be an hour or more and they would text me. 3 hours later I got a text that they didn't have the medicine and would have to order it. So I was scrambling around at 8pm to find a new place to get the needed antibiotics. The next time I went, I used the drive thru. After waiting 30 min in line I got to the window to be told the card reader wasn't working and I could only pay cash but I could go inside and get cash and get back in line again... a sign would have been very helpful as to not waste my time sitting in line when I could have gotten cash first.
