The security guard up front was very pleasant, however, my husband and I were trying to take care of a traffic ticket he received, so we had to go to the traffic services window where we were greeted with quite possibly the most unpleasant experience in customer service (which we both work in) in history. I wish I caught the ladies name, but she was extremely rude and wouldn’t let us speak or ask any of the questions we had because she kept speaking over us explaining the same thing that the payment system was down, which we understood, but still had a couple of questions about what might happen if we didn’t get to pay this in time because we do not live in Kansas City and don’t necessarily have the time to drive back and forth there trying to get things paid. She was very UNhelpful, hostile, and quite judgemental as we are a youngish couple and it seemed as if she was treating us like we were stupid. I work in retail and had she came in to my store and I spoke to her and treated her the way we were treated, I would be out of a job. Just because people are there to handle violations DOESNT mean they deserve poor customer service and no human decency. We are extremely disappointed in this district. However the supervisor Lyndsey was helpful.

You can just walk-in I recommend make an appointment online. That way the longest you could be there is maybe 20 mins.

Where dreams go to die. Though the employees were kind, it doesn’t seem like anyone actually knows what’s going on. It took weeks to finally get an appointment, I showed up promptly for my appointment time, but wasn’t seen for 45 minutes. Then was told I couldn’t get done what was necessary. Imagine if they put just an ounce of information on their website of what’s needed to accomplish different services. Imagine the time it would save not only people like me, but their employees. Though I guess this is pretty typical for government entities…who’s surprised?

They have no clue of what they are doing. Wyandotte county needs more professional and active people working to help solve the issues of their people. Just to pay a simple fine we have to wait for 4 hrs and more.. what a shame. We live in 21 century, Wyandotte county still om stone age.
