My go to for any first visit to a Coffee shop/house is a standard hot Latte with whole milk as it reveals the truth. Monarch’s Latte was everything I wanted it to be. The pastries were good. The ambiance was lovely and the sound level was good- can easily talk to others or concentrate while working on your laptop.

It's okay. I thought the shop was bright, trendy, clean but I anticipated more. I liked the espresso... just prefer a more indulgent... bold espresso than what was offered when going there. I'm hoping my experience was just a one off because I think they could do so much more to enhance the experience.

I absolutely adored visiting this space! It’s beautifully open, bright, and covered in plants. We tried the seasonal/signature drinks this time. One was wonderfully light and delightful. The other was a bit adventure for my taste, but completely gorgeous. Love the vibes here. We’ll be back soon for some quality coffee and people watching!

Monarch Coffee is always a pleasant experience. The coffee is some of the best in the city and their staff come up with such amazing, creative drinks that are also delicious. It's such a beautiful space and amazing to work at and create in. The baristas are always kind and always so helpful any time you have questions about the drinks and the coffees they have on bar. They also take covid precautions seriously. The staff is still wearing masks and encourages customers to wear them. Which I love. If you're in Kansas City and in Midtown you definitely need to go check them out.

They don't have pour overs, but do have some great drip, highly skilled baristas and the most interesting specialty drinks I've seen.
Street parking is the way to go. There is a lot A block or two away. Only good the parts there if you're going to be walking up and down the street
There is lots of room in the corners that you could bring your stroller in I bet
