This has been the best place I have ever been to for help with my addiction problems. They are amazing, dont pressure you in to anything and let things happen on your timeline. They are like family and treat you like family. They work with you schedule and do everything they can to help assist in your recovery. I would recommend any of my close friends or family to MIA with no hesitation.

I have been going to Dr.Peterson for almost two years now and he's a amazing doctor who really does care about your sobriety and you, him and his wife Jen have always treated me great and been amazing, recently they changed there name, staff and building, since then I have had nothing but issues, Jen is no longer working in the office and half the people I speak to are out of St Louis and are the most rude disrespectful people who only care about $$$$$$, I have been on my meds with no issues never relapsed always paid, well today the day I'm scheduled for a appointment and out of medicine I'm told out of nowhere that I cannot be seen and won't be seen until I pay 500 and was told I had a outstanding balance which was caused by a misunderstanding when they switched over what I would pay no biggie I pay everytime and told her I would pay more than the 350$ I was suppose to pay but I couldn't pay 500 today so she refused to see me and I'm out of medicine!! This new practice does not care about there patients or sobriety, Dr Peterson and Jen would of never done something like this to me..and its sad they have took over and are ruining Dr.Peterson good reputation now..I'm extremely upset and I will never ever return here thanks to Midwest institute for addiction taking over !!

They use medicine to treat your addiction in action. It helps get off the hard addictions compared to pain management where they want to do shots.
For our outpatient programs, public parking is available. For inpatient and residential treatment, members are able to transport themselves but there are policies regarding member's vehicles that we will go over upon admission. For more information visit: www.midwestinstituteforaddiction.org www.sanalake.com
This depends on each specific case, the care level of discharge, the circumstances of discharge, the problem list for the member, and the progress of the member. We can provide more specific information if you would like to contact our staff. www.midwestinstituteforaddiction.org www.sanalake.com
Our Group provides all levels of care: Inpatient detox, residential care, partial hospitalization (day treatment), intensive outpatient, outpatient, and ongoing aftercare services. This all depends on the medical and clinical needs of the individual and is determined by assesssment. Individuals are directly admitted into all levels of care as appropriate to their needs.
The NCADA has a lot of great information on this topic. http://ncada-stl.org/
They dont but can refer you to a in place treatment if needed
It does not take Medicade but other insurances it does and now with so m as my generic meds it's a lot cheaper.
We accept Tricare at our Liberty and Kansas City locations. To date, we have had no issues with this benefit plan.
Yes. U will get a script the very first visit. No overnight stay, but u will have to talk to a counselor for about 15-30 mins. A visit and thats a state rule I believe.
Yes, we provide both detox and treatment for alcohol dependency.
We are in-network with the majority of commercial payers. For those that are uninsured, we do have self-pay rates, discounts, and financing options but clients are responsible for the costs of treatment. Regardless of the situation, our office provides the free service of meeting with those in need and determining who and where the most appropriate care may be.
