We were considering the all day hike, but decided to go with the ATVs instead and didn’t regret it. It wouldn’t have been an idealistic hike given the amount of dust kicked up by passing vehicles, it is a county road after all and is used by locals and off road enthusiast. We had an awesome time! Rented two vehicles from Jason, he was straight forward and set us up for success. It was definitely worth it.

Jason rented us a 2 person 4 wheel ATV for the ride up to Chrystal which was necessary as the road up is pretty bumpy rocky narrow steep etc. I dropped my ATV key, called Jason to let him know, fortunately found it and returned vehicle late. Jason was super gracious and did not charge us extra despite returning it late. Highly recommend.
