Having a terrible experience with the RV rental from this location and just cruise America in general. I was told they had roadside assistance if anything went wrong with my rental. Well I have quite a list after just a few days but the worst being coming home to a nice steady leaky in the roof after the first rain and all my stuff completely soaked. I called immediately and they couldn’t even have someone call me back for 2 days so i had 2 days to deal with a leak on my own in a bad location in the middle of the woods. When i could finally contact someone i was told they only come to you for vehicle emergencies and i have to go to my closest service center which is 45 miles and an hour and a half away from me ruining an entire day of my trip (which is a volunteer trip out of my pocket so one less day of helping animals at my expense) they said they would credit me a “half day” and the miles but not the gas. Yet This will take up a whole day. Awesome so it’s costing me like $100 and an entire day of my vacation/volunteer time to help you fix your piece of junk RV. The RV also smells weird almost like propane and just stink and was filthy when i got it. The floors were black and turn your socks black in minutes. I woke up in the middle of the night last night to being out of propane and no heat in a 40 degree RV. I’ve been plugged in since i got here every night and having the heat only on lowest setting at night and I’ve been gone all day and it ran out in 5 nights. I was told by the rental place i had a full tank of propane and I’d be good for a while so didn’t even think to check it. Ok fine, take the tank off to get the tank filled somewhere? Nope you have drive the RV to a propane filling location to fill the tank because you can’t remove it. Which if you’re camping this is a COMPLETE NIGHTMAre. Full panic mode all day calling every propane place within an hour drive and everyone was busy and no one could fit me in to fill me up. So I had to go buy a space heater which is barely warming the bedroom. Ruining another day of my trip. Praying this makes it for the night cuz it’s cold. This RV has just been a disaster and a nightmare. I just want to ditch it and get a hotel but I probably won’t be able to get out of my contract. Be very careful renting one of these. Especially in the winter. Request a new rental and check it THOROUGHLY before. Make sure all tanks are filled and it’s clean and ask about what to do if there are leaks and problems with the rental because so far it’s been nothing but a hassle and not at all worth the fortune I’m spending renting this. This thing rides awful and the whole purpose i rented it was to bring my cats but as soon as I got in it to drive I knew I wouldn’t be able to bring them because you hit a pebble in the road and it goes flying and rattled like crazy. Just junk. Been a huge downer on my trip
