I have been watching Kitchen Hell for 12 seasons since than I wanted to eat Gordon’s beef Wellington finally for my birthday my son wanted to take me to Boxwood for dinner made reservations ordered beef Wellington we got all dressed up and went, when we got there the restaurant was not open (blamed Covid) they set us at the bar no plates no silverware no napkins, when we ready to order they said NO BEEF WELLINGTON I was so disappointed as a matter of fact it was insulting to me that’s what I felt, I wanted to leave and left.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience. My mother in law wanted to go to this restaurant on her birthday, for the beef Wellington. I made reservations for 3 for Sunday July 24th, 2022 through open table. I called the restaurant to ensure they still served Beef Wellington as it was not on one of the menus I found online. They said yes they serve the dish. When we showed up to the restaurant we were sat in the bar... which was a little strange as we were under the impression we were going to a nice restaurant... not having dinner in a bar.We asked about the restaurant seating and were told it was closed for covid. The menu came and beef Wellington was not on the menu. We asked the server, she said she would ask the chef... she came back and told us they unfortunately stopped serving it on Friday( we went on Sunday). The vibe was just not right... we decided we would take our business elsewhere that night. They did validate our valet parking and the server said sorry... but we know it is not her fault. Maybe a little note on the website saying the restaurant is closed, and dinner is being served in the bar area only would be helpful. Also the hostess should have said it is not always on the menu and to call back 1-2 days before our reservations to ensure it's on the menu would have been nice... as those where her words when I expressed my disappoint regarding the dish not being on the menu that night .

The food was amazing! We ahd the beef wellington. Drinks were also delicious. Our waitress Daria was so kind and attentive! One of the best staff ever! She definitely deserves a raise!
