They need shade trees if you're going to spend the day

My second time here...first time on the eastern shore and this time in one of their developed sites. Simply a fantastic spot. And a free RV dump. Clean and it seems taken care of. How this remains free is amazing. I really hope it continues to be. Having something like this on a lake is normally something you have to reserve in advance.

My husband and I have been dry camping for a couple years now. We have been to Grand Canyon, New Mexico, Utah, and many parts of Colorado. Williams Fork Reservoir is an amazing quiet campground right on the water. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the week.

Update: Still free in 2020 Free in 2019 but will no longer be free Summer of 2020 due to abuse. Well cared for bathrooms, tables and firepits. Beautiful reservoir, especially nice during the week when it's nice and quiet.

No, and more than likely will not. According to everything I've seen/read, the fire started where County Roads 3 and 30 meet with the wind coming from the northwest which is pushing the fire southeast.
Last summer you didn't but it was free. Next Summer they're going to start charging but I have no idea how. Ran by the Denver Water Authority. Awesome place, you just have to get the right spot because it gets busy. Update: still free in 2020 but it's getting busy earlier in the week due to C19.
The campground is open statewide fire ban in effect
Because of C19 people are arriving beginning on Wednesdays. This is a free campground so you cannot rent a spot. Get there as soon as possible for the weekend. During the week it's wonderfully quiet.
No tubing also its really a fishing lake only
