Kayla quickly gave me an excellent haircut. After a few weeks I was still getting compliments on my hair. Next time I'm driving through Sioux City I'm getting another haircut here!

The worst and I mean the absolute worst haircut I have ever gotten in my life. I am a male and I have a little longer hair not super long but it covers my ears. I am 16 and have been told I look like Austin from Austin and ally to give a reference point. It was getting a little long so I decided to get it trimmed up and saw this place open so I went inside and asked for one. I asked the lady for a little trim on my hair not a lot just a little off the sides and some off the top. She said ok and asked if I wanted clippers or scissors I said scissors she said ok. She went through the normal wet down my hair and comb it out then she went trimming little did I know she would take most of my hair. She ended up using clippers even though I said no and made it clear I just wanted a little trim. I now have super short hair looks like a buzz cut but worse and it is so uneven it is like sections and it just looks terrible. She ended up probably taking off 4+ inches when I wanted maybe 1 inch off now I look like a fool and have been told to just go bald I liked my long hair and if I had the decision to have the lady or a toddler cut my hair I would chose the toddler because then I can say the reason my hair looks so bad it because it was cut by a 3 year old. Never get a haircut here it is the worst place to go have a friend do it if you have to it would probably look better then this place. It looks like a bowl cut and she gave me a widows peak my hair line is perfect and I have been told that by many other hairstylists. Again I highly recommend not going here there are many other places that can cut hair proper and not make you want to hide yourself from others.

I don’t write a lot of reviews, but I had to after the experience today. I heard that my younger brother, who went in today before me, didn’t have a pleasant experience, but I didn’t let that sway me. The stylist I got was Chanda, blonde woman with tattoos, and I don’t know what it was, she seemed to be in a rush with my hair that day. She almost exclusively used a buzz tool and went though it lightning quick, with some roughness and tugging in the process, I don’t think she ever used a pair of scissors. She cut it a lot shorter than I would have liked, the taper cut I wanted didn’t turn out like it usually does, and the end result was noticeably uneven as well. It just seemed like they were in a rush to get me out the door, even though it was still 20 minutes to closing by the time they finished. When I returned home, I was shocked to find that my younger brother’s head has gone from long curly hair to a complete military style buzz cut, there’s almost nothing left, and my younger brother absolutely hates it, he’s hiding it with a hat now. Turns out his hair was also cut by Chanda, and according to him he asked for his hair to be cut short as usual, but she just went in with the buzz tool right away, going across from bang to back with each pass over. I’ve come to Great Clips for years, but after today, no more. I could tolerate the cut I got, but seeing my younger brother like that is just unacceptable. It would be easy to just avoid getting a cut from Chanda, but it’s not like I could just say no to whichever stylist is free at the time during a busy day at Great Clips.

We typically have a decent experience here. However, this time was not one of them. When we arrived, we were the only customers there. There were 2 ladies just sitting and chatting away, and gave no greeting and made us wait while they finished chatting about their personal lives. Eventually, my son got brought back for a haircut. He apparently wasn't sitting completely still, but instead of her coming over and letting me know that, she yelled across to the waiting area and said "I'm about to stop his haircut!". She made my son feel completely terrible and embarrassed to the point he was in tears. I came over and told her that she was making him feel bad, and she didn't care at all. Very rude and unprofessional service. In my son's words "Worst experience with a haircut ever."

Customers can check in online during the hours the salon is open. Online Check-In will not be available during the first five minutes a salon is scheduled to be open. This gives customers who are physically in the salon when it opens a chance to be checked in and have their names added to the wait list. We accept online check-in up until 30 minutes before closing time. You can still get a haircut at closing time, you just can't check in on the app.
