been here probably 5-6 times. most visits just with my wife but one visit we rented a cabin with another couple. This place is amazing. words don't do it justice. Everyone I know that has been here loves it as well. Literally only drawback is in the Winter it may get tough getting up some of the hills in your vehicle to get out to the ski resort. if going in the winter AWD is a must.

I stayed here back in about 2005. Rented a cabin with a girlfriend at the time. This place was wonderful! We stayed lakeside for several days and it was magical. They kept us well stocked with firewood and watching the storm come rolling in on the lake was something I have not forgotten. The cabin was small but well done and everything I could have hoped for.

Bedding and room were good. Nice deck out the back with views of the lake and fire pit. Kitchen was very meager. No coffee. Be sure to bring your own unless you can wait until 8am for your first cup at the office. There is a pool table inside and playgym out side to entertain family. Location on the lake was beautiful.

My roommate and I stayed here after coming out of the boundry waters with my dog. I appreciated they allowed pets, gave treats, poo bags and extra bedding special for my dog. The room was quaint, had a woodsy cabin feel, and I used the kitchenette more than I had anticipated. The view of lake superior was worth every penny and we enjoyed our stay at Solbakken Resort.
