It was just bad. Server was not friendly and had to go to the bar for help. Floors were dirty and completely filthy. Brown guacamole, beans tasted burnt, shrimp chimichanga had 4 little baby shrimp in it, salsa was salty…that was a first, sour cream…literally the serving size of a thimble. The El Patron in Winona is wonderful….the Austin one I will never visit again.

The last two times we have went the food has gotten worse and worse got a taco salad fajita shell tasted like rubber, the margarita didn’t taste right (between 3 of us drinking a regular marg on the rocks there was not tequila in it we all decided) it was bland and tasted like mix and water brought it up to him they said it taste just fine never watched them even try it or take it off our bill or anything, our service was ok only got one basket of chips the whole time we were there had to ask 2 times and finally got some, food came out very fast why I think it was not prepared correctly. This was a good place to eat but now all they care about is the money they don’t care about the customers or their reputation. Would not go there again and highly recommend not going there to eat.

Or lunch with fresh and delicious. I had the Guadalajara dinner. Shrimp,chicken, beef, peppers and onions all served over cheesy rice. Delicious and satisfying.

I definitely changed my rating - down. I have ate at lots of Mexican Restaurants. Some of the things that have always impressed me about them is the huge portions, reasonable prices and terrific service. I don't know what happened to this place but they failed on it all. I'm glad Austin has more and much better options now
