I don't remember the name of the gentleman but he was awesome. He did this thing where he loosened boots over his leg despite having a bad back. He was super fun to talk to and he made the trip even more enjoyable. My husband and I have always loved Red Wing for their almost indestructible boots as he's a roofer but the associate made the trip downright fun. I wasn't originally looking for boots for me but I'm more than happy I got them anyway. I'm on my feet all day and switching to boots over athletic shoes has made working way easier. Heads up though on the women's sizes. I'm usually a size 9 women’s shoe but I had to go up to 11.5 if I remember correctly. They're wicked narrow so don't be surprised if you have to go up quite a bit to fit your toe box or even switch to men's sizes. The reason I went with the boots I did rather than switching to a men's size was they were super comfortable on my hips once I got the right size. I have two hip replacements so it's vital that whatever I wear isn't too strenuous on my lower back area. Anyway, I totally recommend Red Wing and don't shop anywhere else for boots. Their stuff lasts forever if you treat it right or a few years if your abuse them in construction with hot pitch and whatnot.

This 4-star review doesn't represent the service that I received that was top-notch. It was just the selection. Now in some ways that's also my my own issue since I wear a size 15, so I just have to pick the best of what they have in my size in the end I bought a comfortable pair and that's all that matters in the end
