Stopped for a hike on our way out of the Twin Cities. Wandered the trails for a couple hours, it was great! Watched 3 bald eagles hunt the waters in the valley.

Nice relaxing hiking trails. Make sure you plan to be walking for more than an hour!

Great nature trail leading all the way through Shakopee. Only down side is the proximity to 169 so you hear vehicles.

Nice place with very long tails. Hardly any plaques or anything about the area along the way but great if you're just looking for a secluded area to get in some miles. I only walked one trail that unfortunately with as close as it got to the water it was hard to get a good view. There are also bike paths I didn't go on that I've heard are great for fat tire bikes.

Questions & Answers

Are these trails for mountain biking too?

Yes, when you get there the trails will have signage telling you if mtb is ok. All the signs I saw said it was ok to ride on them. As an avid cyclist, I can't imagine they would be too much fun.they are mostly covered in grass and brush.
