Kids enjoyed shopping here with the money they earned doing chores. Difficult to watch and help them because of all the foot and vf vehicle traffic. No place to sit and rest for handicapped Grandma.

A neighborhood staple/lifesaver and fun place to explore if visiting. Absolutely heartbreaking that Redcar ltd, the new owner, wants to kick all the small businesses out to make yet more bougie office spaces. 😢 You can get everything here. If you move to Chinatown, this is 100% where you should buy items like trash cans, brooms, dish rack, etc. Highlights for me are the classic LA-style “99 cent store” type everything-shop (enter on Alpine, go straight back and turn right at the small fountain/bathrooms), and (around back on the Spring st side) the noodle shop, and long time family-run Rainbow plants.

Each booth sells different things, $1 nail polish bin is my fave. Don't expect large plus size clothing from China. Large blankets are on sale. Shoe booth is so tempting. Very narrow aisles, so be respectful.

A fun place to roam around during the weekends in Chinatown, LA. Lots of cheap shoes, clothes, food, luggage & phone shops. Nothing special though, very similar to markets in Vietnam or China, research prices online so you can haggle effectively...ask for prices only if you really want to buy but also walk away if the price is too high. Or else, bear the wrath of shop owners for wasting their time.
