I love coming to Comida!! Such a fun atmosphere at Stanley Market in general. The food and drinks at Comical are delicious! Try all of the apps because the homemade chips are to die for. Follow the menu guidelines on "Works best as..." a taco or tostada for the most part. I love the Situation, the carnitas, the mushroom one, and any of the veggie ones. Love the Oaxaca old fashioned. Delicious!

My wife and I really enjoyed the food. There were some terrific flavors. I see a lot of other reviews giving the restaurant a hard time for not being authentic. To that I say, read the menu. There really shouldn't be any surprise that your taco has a sweet potato puree in it (which, btw, was delicious). The drinks had to be my favorite part of the experience. We both had different margaritas, House and Spicy Watermelon. The watermelon was so flavorful and had a nice kick at the back of the throat. Top notch. The reason for the three stars? The atmosphere. Our waitress seemed put off and distracted every time she came by. Then at some point our waitress, another staff member and presumably a manger started conversing about a workplace issue just a few feet from our table. It really put a damper on the whole experience and left us disappointed. What was clear is that our waitress was not having a good time with whatever the drama was, so we made sure to tip a little extra for her. Lastly, I was really surprised I had to pay for a side of salsa for tacos; especially considering the quantity. Overall the price was a bit too much for my taste, $3 extra for salsa pushed the final ticket price over the threshold of what I deem reasonable.

I don't know about mashed potatoes on tacos, but that's what they do here. Mashed garlic potatoes or mashed sweet potatoes. To me, it makes the tacos a bit soggy. But they tasted good. Each taco is piled a mile high with stuff. I can put down some tacos, but three tacos at Comida were more than I could finish. I wish they included an extra tortilla because they could easily be divided and made into two tacos for sharing. I've seen a lot of traditional, Mexican owned places so this. The staff were friendly.

The tacos were fantastic. The quesadilla(chicken) was lackluster and the refritos(retried beans) tasted straight out a can and the rice was hard and flavorless. The salsa should have some heat and not taste like cafeteria salsa. Staff was very self involved and bar centric. I was told that it is “just a quesadilla” which I suppose is supposed to excuse blandness. Again the tacos were good. That’s it.

Oh hey! Stanley is a food hall and urban market with 50+ Colorado businesses, 21 of which are places to eat and drink. Some of those are sit-down restaurants, and yes, many of them offer high chairs, including Comida, Denver Biscuit Co., Rosenberg's, Sazza, and Stanley Beer Hall. Our marketplace is very kid friendly -- families tend to love visiting Stanley.
