Great atmosphere and decor. My husband is from around Chicago so it was exciting for us. Great quality food. Friendly staff and clean surroundings.

This place has the best milk shake I have ever had. The Cake Shake. It has a very old school theme and nice ambient atmosphere to enjoy a meal. They also have amazing hot Dogs and are know for their cakes. The Cake Shake has chunks of delicious chocolate cake on the bottom that you have to dig out with a spoon. Go check them out.

#1 with peppers dipped. Can't go wrong with Portillo's for your Italian beef. Dipped in gravy the bread absorbs all that juice and flavor, falling apart in your mouth and dripping down your chin. Juicy, savory, beefy goodness in every bite.

I'm from Chicago and miss the Italian Beefs. This is a 40+ mile drive, but worth it. It's been far too long and my "Big Beef" was delicious! Hoping someone at Portillo's will see this and open a Santa Monica location. (Or West LA or Culver City...somewhere on the Westside!) Then again, maybe it's better that I can't get Portillo's as often as I would like.

We were there 2 days ago and many of the tables inside and outside are blocked for social distancing.
I did a survey on the receipt that gives you free cake on your birthday...
Questions like that dont get answered by the company. The google questions are answered by regular people that have been to the business.
For the business, that program is voluntary and they aren't REQUIRED to participate. Businesses that accept EBT have to go through a process and typically do so to keep themselves afloat during slow times. Portillos is alway busy so they don't need the extra boost. Also, EBT was created to help people buy healthy food they can make on their own, which is always less expensive than restaurants, to support their families. The concept of restaurants accepting it is relatively new. Using EBT at restaurants means the money meant to supplement a person's income won't go as far, and therefore won't provide as much food for a person's family and children. Also, EBT is meant to be used on "healthy" food for families, which is whu there are certain things you cant buy at the grocery store with it. As much as I love Portillos, it is ANYTHING but healthy.
That seems to be the common question. They do ship
Yes they deliver. You can order directly from the website. Or use one of the food delivering apps.
They have like a "casing" on the hot dog. It's real thin and when you bite into it, it's like biting through a thin, hard, plasticky piece of something - it just feels odd.
No free Wi-fi.
1lb 11.95. 2.5lb 29.75 if you pick up at a restaurant. To have it shipped is more they have the pricing on the website
