Restaurant was not busy at 2:20 in the afternoon on Saturday however drinks arrived 20 minutes or longer after ordering as waitress was waiting on bartenders. Waitress was great and attentive and did what she could do as we waited for our food and drink. Tortilla chips and salsa were excellent but the food was of poor quality. We will not be going back.

This is probably our last time eating at this on the border. First and foremost I want to say that this experience was not impacted negatively by our server but by the manager. We ordered queso and tortillas to start, and when our server brought them out, he noted that he thought the quest looked funny. He asked us to try it and if it was not to our liking, he would happily get the kitchen to remake it for us. The queso was lumpy, cold and just wasn’t smooth like normal. We asked if we could get a new batch and he agreed. He then came back and said the kitchen would not remake the queso. When asked why, he said the manager refused to remake it and would just take it off the bill… When has a restaurant ever refused to remake food especially when it is their fault. The server even acknowledged that it was not like normal. Our server then tried again to get them to remake it and the manager refused again. Seems like he is okay with serving low quality lumpy cheese at the expense of the guest if it means they don’t lose money. When our lunch fajitas came out, they weren’t sizzling like normal but no big deal. They just only came with 5 bell pepper slices. The manager also did not stop at our table at all to apologize. Just completely thrown off by this situation.

The food is fairly authentic with a twist to certain dishes. Portions are decent, and the chips and salsa are free, but the kids meals were fairly basic. I will say that the food pricing is a little steep, but it’s not surprising given their selection and in comparison to Chilis; they do have a great selection of alcoholic beverages though. If you’re looking for Mexican food that is a little more mainstream then this is your place.
