This review is specifically for the location in Billings, Montana. We actually didn't even get to eat because the service was so slow. We waited nearly twenty minutes just to get ready to order...then another customer came up to us and told us we probably wouldn't want to order because she had been waiting over 30 minutes for her food. This was also around 2pm...so not a rush time either. We only counted three staff...two taking orders and one cooking/preparing food in the back...which is not their fault...but definitely a management issue. In post-pandemic life...it's acceptable to not be open or close early/open late if you do not have the staffing...and this was definitely the case. You cannot operate a fast-food place with 3 employees.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Popeyes has not been even at 1 star in a very, very long time. I always avoid Popeyes because how terrible the food and service had been in the past, but today I thought maybe they'll be better. I was wrong. We waited about 20 minutes just to get up to the speaker box, we order a family meal of 10 pieces of chicken, 2 sides, and 5 biscuits. We wait about anothet 25 minutes to get up to the window, we then pay for our food. The cashier closes the window and comes back 30 seconds later stating they are waiting on chicken and asked if we could pull around front. I asked how long will the wait be, he says let me ask. He closes the window and comes back another minute later and says we are actually out of chicken. I am annoyed... I know that it isn't his fault but the least he could have done was tell me this at the speaker box so I would not have wasted the time continuing to wait in line. The management for this establishment needs to turn it around if they want to stay in business. It is constantly back to back food issues, whether it's cold food, no food, or terrible food.

I order these food through the DoorDash app. I got a 1/4 lb Popcorn Shrimp Dinner, Handcrafted Tender Combo(5 pcs) and a Classic Chicken Sandwich. Everything came hot and fresh and smelled good. The food were mostly perfect. The sandwich was huge, and the meat was tender and delicious. One considerable was I have a option to take the pickle out on the ordering page which was my favorite part because I DON’T LIKE PICKLES AT ALL! At the beginning, I didn’t know it was shrimp although I knew I order the Popcorn shrimp, I thought it was chicken or simply deep-fried flour mixture. I found it out after I tore the little thing, yes it was a REAL shrimp. I like chicken tender actually, but this time, the meat tasted weird, and I used to to cook noodles which was great. I also chose three kind of sauce: Buttermilk Ranch, Sweet Heart, and Cocktail. The Cocktail tastes strange, Sweet Heart tastes like sweet chili sauce and tends to be spicy. I believe the Ranch sauce would be the most popular one which is acceptable for me. There are two sides and biscuits included the meals. They became my breakfast. I heated them in the microwave for one minute. The biscuits became softer, I didn’t like it before, but this time, it tasted better. I put the butter on the top, and it melt fast. The grape jam was delicious too. The red bean and rice was spicy. The taste was good but too salty. The mashed potato looked so creamy, the taste was smoothly. The black pepper flavor was strong and a little spicy. I like it.

Would literally give this store a negative score if I could. Waited 20 minutes for food and gave up. When I asked for a refund the manager said “You have only been waiting 2o minutes!!” Unreal. Who ever owns this franchise needs to check in once I’m a while. There were 4 other customers also waiting. Literally how hard can it be? Message to owner: fire everyone in there and start over. You literally could not be worse off!!!

Went there today order was all screwed up, wrong stuff, half missing,had to wait for close to 1/2 hr. Probably won't stop again!°
