I love the staff and Vet here. They are very informative and seem to be genuine in their care for our fur babies.

Today my dog had emergency surgery for pyometra at a different clinic, something that could have been found last week when I was at this location last Friday, in person, begging the receptionist for a quick check. We didn’t have an appointment, the phones rang and rang with no answer, but thought for sure if I came in person with a sickly looking dog I could get some help. I was wrong. All she did was ask me if I wanted to take the next opening over 2 weeks away. Every office should be able to make time for sick visits. We were RIGHT there, and it wouldn’t have taken much effort from the staff to help us, and avoid the scary and emergent day we had today

Every time I’ve had to bring my pet in, there was something wrong week after week. They said for my cat to take 7 different medications when he only needed 3 the entire time. One of the medications even gave him diarrhea according to one of the vets. I also paid nearly $500 in total in the span of 1 month because these all medications were “needed.” The part I hated the most was when they said I would have to pay to check to see if my cat had ring worm. OBVIOUSLY he had ring worm. Why do I have to pay for lab work to verify it’s ring worm? The frustrating part is they knew it was ring worm all along, thus selling me Intrafungal (medication) and telling me to give doses to my cat even before the lab results came through. The company must be laughing at the fact they made money off of me, a pet owner of only 2 months. As I said, this is my first time ever owning a pet, and it has not been a pleasant experience because of this hospital. I love my pet and will pay whatever necessary for him, but for the kind of service they give, it’s unacceptable. There have been occasions where they would give me his medication and not explain to me what they even are, leaving me confused and having to continuously ask questions that shouldn’t even have to be asked in the first place. Doctors for human beings don’t even give medication to their patients and not tell them what it is. Hell, I wouldn’t even give someone medication and not tell them what it’s for. The whole point of going to a pet hospital is to be able to leave without too much stress (in most cases). This location was the complete opposite experience. I was stressed going in AND out. My last straw with this company was when I brought in my cat for a checkup. My cat was there on Wednesday 3/3/21 for nine hours (10am to 7pm) only to be told that there’s nothing wrong with him. What is the point of bringing in a pet so early in the morning, only to be told he’s fine? Not only that, but I called at 5:28pm to see what was up. The lady at the front desk at the time said she would call me back in five minutes. Hopefully Banfield keeps records of phone conversations to prove this. However, I never got a call back and I patiently waited over an hour. At that point, I decided to just go in to pick up my cat and leave this pathetic place they call a hospital. Besides, if they’re really so busy that they had to make me wait 9 hours just to tell me my cat is fine, they shouldn’t be taking in anymore clients. I’m going to go to another vet location that is literally right across the street. It shouldn’t be that hard to get a better experience. This Banfield Hospital is so terrible, any other local pet hospital wouldn’t have to try so hard to give better service. If in the future we could ever give 0 stars (or even negative stars), I’ll log back in to edit my review just to lower this location’s ratings. I would only recommend this place if you hate your pet. On the side note, the brown hair lady at the front desk during the mornings is great. She was the only one there that showed she cared about her job.

We have been bringing our pets here for a while now. Almost 9 years now. Dr. C is the best. The staff is absolutely amazing as well. The wellness plan is the way to go, and saves quite a bit of money in the long run, especially if your pet has ongoing issues. If there are major issues, yes, you will need to go to a specialist, but this is a great place for all preventative and general vet care.

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 31, 2020

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 31, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
