My wife and I ate at Maria’s for supper tonight (7/29/22). The meal was generally good. We had a Chalupa and Burrito with chicken and 2 Chimichangas, one with shredded beef and the other with shredded chicken. The chick is not that great. It is very bland and not at all very tasty. The shredded beef would be hard to beat. It was flavorful and would rank excellent in my book. The beans and rice that came with both meals was very good. One huge problem is they charge extra for almost everything. The chips and salsa were $3 extra and the salsa was so watered down it would not stay on the chips. The mild salsa was near tasteless and the hotter salsa was not mush better. The salsa has very few “chunks” of anything in it and is mostly just a watery red sauce. It was a waste of $3 for the chips and salsa. Another huge problem was the menus says you can have shredded beef or chicken but there is a $2 fee if you choose chicken, which we did not see posted on the menu. Coke products are in a can and cost $1.50 per can, Pepsi products are fountain drinks and are $2.50 with one refill. The service was good, but then when you get ready to pay they charge you to use a credit or debit card.

Hard to determine what makes this Mexican food. Boiled chicken with no seasoning is hardly consumable food, let alone Mexican food. So sad since some simple seasoning could make this place worth a second chance. Dear owner, please taste your own food….

Love the new location! Easily the best plate of Carnitas in Great Falls. Very nice, very tasty.

They are pretty expensive for what you get. The food is about normal for Great Falls - not very flavorful. I spent almost $30 on a quesadilla, "large" enchiladas, and a Coke. The service was decent. You do have to pay for chilps and salsa, and if you want both rice and beans, it's a $1 more. I recommend skipping the rice - it wasn't that good. I probably won't dine here again, just because of the cost.
