Beautiful Queen Anne style Victorian home built in 1906 and wonderfully preserved like a museum. It is one of the last homes of this style ever built. Even the toiletries are in place. The garden had been reconstructed in the Victorian style, with an abundance of beautiful roses, many of them period accurate old English varieties. It's a particularly large home with a carriage house on the grounds. When it was built you could see the ocean from the second floor glass paned patio. Take the tour for more fascinating details, they even decorate the house during Christmas for a themed tour. Check out the Wikipedia page for more info on the home and Dorothy, the last owner of the house before it was donated to the historical society around the turn of the century (she was murdered in the backyard!)

They don’t build houses like this anymore. Glad to see it still standing. Looks well kept.

We really enjoyed our afternoon tea at the Bembridge. It was our first visit and will differently return.

The first tour we experienced was A Victorian Christmas. It was an evening event, and the beauty of the home, and history of the neighborhood and Christmas tradition of days gone by was so interesting. It is even more lovely in the daylight. The attention to detail, and unique features of the home make it a "must see" for history fans.

Only the first floor.
No it is not
Last time we visited we had a tour led by a lady who dressed nicely. The lady gave lots of story telling about the house, house owners, and things. I didn't think you could walk around on your own.
There is open house during the week not to sure on the weekends, there's volunteers there after 8am.
Now I know the answer. There will be a plant sale from 10 am to 1 pm in case someone is interested.
Yep. They'll have a list to check your name off. Tours last about an hour.
