Super friendly and many varieties...with some real special ones you dont find anywhere else! The only thing I wish is some chairs so i can read for a bit to see if I'd like to buy the book. I came here for inspirations and find peace when anxiety is skyrocketing. Simply a very nice place. The people here also have some real good advice as well!

News flash…the mask mandate is OVER. Big sign out front telling you “masks are recommended” and that they have masks inside if you don’t have one. Stop trying to strong arm your customers. I’ve been shopping here for at least 38 years. No more.

Chaucer's is an independently owned local bookstore that provides so much support for local authors. It's an absolutely wonderful bookstore, period. I was thrilled to see my book on display! Warning: you may find that once you go in you won't be able to leave without an armful of amazing books, including mine. The bookstore is that good!
