I have pass by this area. Usually full of kids and families. Its like a private area if you ask me. I wouldn't go there with my family there since I dont live in the area. Looks pretty chill π€ Update Usually people fishing on the side of the rocks, careful at night they might be rats and cats in the cracks of the rocks. There is a Life Guard Station. Limited parking lot. Clear your mind type of area.

This is the location where Dexter Morgan drowned one of his victims for killing his dear friend in the t.v. show Dexter. Perfect place for swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding though.

This is a great spot. We come to fish here and its perfect. Very quiet, great views and good fishing.

The most beautiful local beach location! Gorgeous multi-million dollar homes to look upon while you kayak, paddle board, soak in the sun or jump on the new bounce course that the city of Long Beach added for the summer! I have lived here for a decade and love the diverse group of visitors, the fireworks visible from Disneyland, seal beach, huntington beach and the queen mary and the walk life here. There are a ton of delicious restaurants, bars, cute shops and a nearby dog beach. The best of beach life with small waves only a block away and a completely calm bay for the kiddos to swim and play in. 4th of July is really the only hectic date that I would say is not entirely kid friendly as s it is VERY crowded and the vibe is definitely somewhat alcohol laden. A lot of people complain about parking but there are a ton of both paid and free street parking options available just depending on whether you're willing to walk a couple short blocks. Also the area is very bike friendly.

It's been called that for over 50 years. That's where the "in" crowd hung out and was a place to see and be seen.
Come early and park by Ocean and Bayside or any of the street parking around. It's free but you do have to watch out because they mark tires if you park on Ocean in the places where they have a time limit...but any of the perpendicular streets should work.
The buoyes that separate the swimmers from the boats vary in distance-depending on the tides/water level-on a typical ,beautiful summer day right at 1st and bayshore- starting at the lifeguard chair to the buoy-assuming the water is at the chair- about 4-5swim Stokes or 15-16feet-at the library-the distance is shorter
Not legally, but they usually isn't Tony t dogs and before/after 9 to 5. Winter you're pretty much left alone.
