This place is amazing! First, the pool and lake are immaculate and really great. The site itself was literally perfect. Surrounded by trees which gave us shade and level! Very minor adjustments to get our rv level. And the service was the best we've every experienced. We called about the water and two guys showed up within 5 minutes and found I hadn't turned on one of the valves I had (it's always my fault lol). Then, I couldn't get the waste line pitched correctly. Made a call, within 5 minutes a guy showed up and put boards under my entire waste line, pitched it just right and suggested next time I pull in, to get the waste from my rv closer to the sewer tie in. Me again. And here's the BEST thing of all; I called the general store and purchased 3 bundles of fire wood, actually charged it to my site, and they delivered it!!! They have room service! Can you imagine?? And there's Scoops Ice Cream, we went every day, and the fishing was great, I caught 5 nice bass over 3 days. Put your garbage out next to the road and they pick it up. What more can you ask for? We will definitely return here.

I camped here every summer growing up so I was super excited to come back this summer, now that I’ve moved out of state and have young kids of own. I have to say compared to the Odetah of old, this place was a disappointment. First, the highway is LOUD. I obviously don’t blame staff for this and honestly, I don’t remember it being this bad as a kid, but thst could be because a) I was a kid and b) traffic in the area is heavier. But for people who love the peace & quiet of camping, you may be disappointed that there isn’t a site on the place where you can escape the hum of ongoing traffic. Secondly? The wristbands are annoying. I understand the purpose, but it’s hard to believe considering there was hardly anyone here that the place is so popular that people are just dying to sneak in. We are on a week long stay and having to wear an ugly cheap bracelet out everywhere we go is obnoxious. At least if it was a card credential you could wear around your neck, you’d be able to take it off. But apparently they’re terrified of guests coming, which was allowed (for a fee) when I was growing up and is not anymore. Third, the place is staffed almost entirely of teenagers. They don’t enforce the rules (such as adult only swim after 10 pm). Enough said. There are zero comfortable options for people who don’t have an RV. Fortunately, we do, but if you’re bringing along other campers with you, your options are a tent or a stiflingly hot and primitive cabin up a very steep hill, far from restrooms, and with no option for AC… unless you want to spend an entire week in a “premiere” cabin which is situated directly next to the highway for $2000+ for the week. No thanks. Next time we will plan a trip at a campground that has more accommodating options for people who want to camp in comfort. The cost of mini golf is 10 dollars a game per person! And they charge even for young kids to come along who do nothing but throw the ball into the holes and play around with the clubs. When I was a child, it was a deposit. They also did away with paddle boats which are great for young kids. The arcade has also been replaced with a gym, which some people probably prefer but the arcade was a great older kid and teen hangout. Overall, while the grounds are as lovely as I remember, as a more seasoned camper I know that for the cost, there are far nicer campgrounds without the constant buzz of the freeway. I was happy to return for nostalgia place but overall, this place just isn’t as good as it used to be.

My family just finished our week-long stay in the Duck premier cabin. The cabin and facilities were immaculate, as usual. Odetah added a real mattress and a dresser to the main bedroom since last year and my husband and I were pleasantly surprised and very comfortable. We enjoyed live bands on the beach as the kids played in the water and on the playground. Boozy BINGO was an absolute blast! Our family highlights have to be making tie-dye shirts, rock painting, mini golf, using the paddle boards, and breakfasts at the Oasis.

Odetah is a great escape from the rush of life, located perfectly in a beautiful, quaint, and majestic part of Connecticut. Great for people of ALL ages! Whether your playing mini-golf, biking, fishing, kayaking, swimming at the Beach, swimming in the Pool, relaxing in the hot tub, cooking food on the grill, sitting around the fire, sleeping in a tent or camper or yurt, great memories will be made every day spent here!

Extremely clean and diligently maintained
I'd follow the camp grounds link listed above. But I Love this place clean and welcoming. I'm going again this summer
Yes they have a gorgeous lake there for you & your four legged friends!!!😃
Depends on what time of the year. Summer is more expensive. Also depends on what type of site you want. Also Odetah's prices are dynamic which means the price depends on availability. Best to check the website or call them.
No A/C in Standard or Deluxe Cabins. Only the Premier Cabins have ductless A/C
